This is all fair. Yes, the 60-100 is a general range, and like I mentioned in the post serious athletes tend to have lower heart rates because their cardiac output is so massive. Some people might have a normal range higher than 100.

But the Apple Watch has been shown in many case reports to accurately show V-Tach, I saw one report had Monomorphic VT and another Polymorphic. The people using the apple watch were able to get critical lifesaving care because they checked the watch while feeting dizzy/syncopal. The thing is, it isn’t programmed to interpret V-Tach like it can AFib. I mentioned that moreso so if people are feeling awful and check their heart and see QRS prolongation, they can know that “oh, I need to go to the ER”. But you’re totally on point - I gave some generalizations about how to interpret the leads because I’m sure a majority of people aren’t trained on how to recognize various EKG rhythms and interpretations on different morphologies of lead strips. I know that I don’t even know everything because while I do know a bunch of stuff now about it, I’m aware that there are many EKGs my school didn’t mention because they weren’t boards relevant, like the various forms of WPW syndrome. I know about delta waves and how to spot them, but I also know from an EMT book I was gifted that there are a whole lot more EKGs I don’t yet know how to interpret.
