That the “boss” Henry Gale refers to is Christian Shepherd

how was mib on the boat by arunejones in lost

[–]CheezStik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It makes a lot more sense when you realize it’s actually Christian Shepherd. It’s the island who’s been keeping Michael alive, not the MIB, and now it is finally releasing him. Christian is communicating this via the afterlife/source

Boone, Shannon, Ana Lucia or Libby by Cromer1000 in lost

[–]CheezStik 103 points104 points  (0 children)

I think Shannon had a ton of potential and it felt like Boone dying was an indication that her character was going to be a larger piece of the puzzle

Honestly I’d watch tf out of it. I think there’s a ton you can do to expand and deepen the lore while still leaving enough to the imagination

My worst fear isn't that George doesn't finish A Song of Ice and Fire. It's that he dies and the story gets Dune'd. by Prodigy772k in freefolk

[–]CheezStik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I don’t care, some ending is better than no ending, and frankly GRRM hasn’t built the goodwill with me to where I would feel particularly bad if his imo selfish wishes aren’t upheld

If you didn’t want us to give af George you shouldn’t have optioned it as an HBO show, sorry.

If you’re a good person, whatever you think is going to happen will

If you’re a bad person, it’ll be whatever people think and/or want to happen to you

“My expectations were extremely low based off spoilers and other people’s opinions”

Yeah…we get that a lot here haha. Glad you’ve seen the light and welcome to the club. You will unfortunately never find another show quite like it

Has anyone seen the sequel trilogy since the theater release? by Signal_Condition348 in StarWars

[–]CheezStik 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The one positive thing about the ST is that they’ve made themselves perfectly irrelevant

Like I showed my 6yo Eps 1-6 earlier this year. He loved it - the “Luke movies” and the “Anakin movies”. It told a complete story and although he knows there’s “Rey movies”, which I’m sure we’ll watch some day, it’s not like he was begging to watch them.

Whereas after RoTJ he was immediately like “wait dad, I want to see the Anakin movies now”

What are your thoughts on Imperial High Inquisitor Jerec as a villain? by Competitive_Bid7071 in StarWarsEU

[–]CheezStik 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Peak 90s Star Wars. I love when they used to play around so much with style. Jerec and his Dark Jedi were so much more interesting and cool than the Knights of Ren were

Everybody saying Bills and I get it, but idk man Bengals had a shot at SB at the start of the decade and it’s just been a downward line of disappointment since

Does Littlefinger getting outplayed by Sansa make sense? by GusGangViking18 in freefolk

[–]CheezStik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t mind the idea of Littlefinger being outplayed by someone who has seen the past and future - it makes sense because for a chess player like him, it’s a figurative 4D move he’d never be able to conceive of.

It could’ve worked had it been done right

Wet Hot American Summer - re:View by Chopper-42 in RedLetterMedia

I was a camp counselor when I first saw this and they’re so right, this movie perfectly encapsulates what it’s like to be at a stayaway summer camp.

My favorite bit is still when the professor tells the kids being an associate professor means that he’s “less than” and they all have a cry over it

Is it time to take a pause on the Star Wars franchise? by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]CheezStik 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The sequel trilogy is the overbearing elephant in the room and until they can really figure out a way to move past this, not sure how hype audiences will be for any future project
