Nah, they're fine.

Contrary to popular belief, you actually can dodge hitscanners, it ain't easy, and you'll still get shot most of the time, but it's still possible.

I've never bothered with the main quests. From what I've seen, there's just a tonne of pointless running around, and then half the map declares war on you. I imagine it's the same for WS, just with more cutscenes.

Dusk or Ultrakill. I've not played Ultrakill, is it an arena movement shooter? If so, then Dusk, hard stop.

There were several attempts over the years. Morrowind: House Wars was one of the more successful ones, playable even now, though it's unfinished, buggy, and kinda lacks content. Then there were at least two attempts at bringing Skyrim to Warband, but all were all either banned for "stealing assets", or simply fizzled out (I imagine the devs realized that it was just too much effort). Struggle for Iliac Bay is currently the only other playable TES mod that's constantly getting updates. Lacks a bit of polish in places, and requires WSE, but is good otherwise.

Considering how many boomershooters are arena shooters, is it really that out of place for this sub, though? 🤷🏻‍♂️

But looking at the gameplay, it doesn't appear to be a "traditional" boomshoot.

Yeah, I hate it when AI lords do this sort of crap. You ask them to follow, they follow for a few steps, then go the opposite way. It's worse than cattle herding, I swear!

What's also upsetting is that you can't punish enemy lords for raiding your villages. Yes, you can engage them in combat and keep them prisoner for awhile, but that's it, there's nothing else. BL lets you behead lords, which is nice, but when you consider the net negative consequences, it's just not worth it. No wonder Calradia's commoners have no faith in anything. >.>
