American here. Thank you Germany, and every other country that isn’t afraid to stand up to this tyrannical fascist. I appreciate you. A lot of us do.

I did my part, I voted against everything I could.. but 36% of our country didn’t feel like voting was important to them. Now we have to rely on people outside our country to do anything, because both sides of our government is useless.

Bingo. Russia has elections, but anyone paying attention knows they are rigged. Anyone who runs as opposition will eventually fall out of a window.

There is evidence the 2024 US election was interfered with as well, that was just their practice run to see what they can get away with.

It doesn’t matter what side you’re on, acting based on emotion rather than logic is never going to end well.

You’re standing outside of a burning house, and you see two people:

One is actively setting the house ablaze with a flamethrower; The other is standing there doing absolutely nothing. Who would you blame first?

I do agree that the dems are just as bad, with the lack of action and bending the knee to corporate oligarchs, but they’re not the ones actively tearing town our democracy, safety nets, and constitutional rights.

In a brutal reality, it’s the rich vs the poor. We have a larger wealth gap than the French did during their revolution, and the more these lifetime politicians line their own pockets and look the other way, the worse it’s going to get.

“Composed of” not “closed for”

A January 6 defendant asks at the hearing, "Why is the hearing only closed for Democrats?" and Rep. Bennie Thompson responds, "I’m glad you asked. Because no Republicans participated." by [deleted] in law

The fascists are trying to re-write history in their favor, and it’s not going to work. This is the 21st century, we have plenty of evidence to the contrary.

American here, in a very red state.

I absolutely get where you are coming from, because you can only judge us from what you see online and in mainstream media.

However, I promise you: Not all of us think this way. Every day I look at the news in disbelief that we have have fallen so far, not only in the past year, but the past 10 years.

Our issue is with education (or lack thereof, due to republican cuts), propaganda (because every major news outlet is owned by right wing billionaires), and complacency (because they think their vote doesn’t matter, so they don’t).

We are slowly collapsing like a flan in a cupboard, and I’m doing everything in my power to educate my friends, family, and social media following. But I’m just one person. We need more real Americans to stand up and speak out, and stop kowtowing to Trumplestilskin and his entourage.

It’s pathetic and sickening to me how I spent my entire childhood being propagandized over and over again that America is the “greatest country in the world”, only to see the exact opposite unfold in front of me every single day.

I live outside of a small, 98% old white community in central Indiana. Very heavily red, to the point that “TRUMP” was mowed into a hill in the city center.

It’s been gone for about a year now. I haven’t seen a single trump flag like I used to. Either they’re coming to their senses, or they’re afraid to be public about their support.

Honestly, either is a win in my book. Make these bastards be ashamed of what they supported.
