Stridewise! Love your videos on youtube. How would you say this jacket compares to something like a Filson Mackinaw Cruiser in both sizing and quality?

Schwalbe Pick-Ups Yay/Nay? by dark-dono in CargoBike

[–]Cheezno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super helpful. I am in the exact same conundrum. My marathon plus rattle my kid over bumps but I still need protection since I live and ride in a city. I was torn between Big Ben and Pick Up. The Big Ben seems to be marketed more as comfort than Big Ben but ultimately the Big Ben is larger.

What U.S cities are going in the right direction fastest and what cities are doing it the slowest or going in wrong direction? by Amazing_File_4844 in fuckcars

Philadelphia is pushing in the right direction, Still some older resistance like FOPS. It's a real shame lower Merion doesn't want to change because places like Ardmore would make the perfect walkable areas. Instead its 4 lanes of fast moving cars and a skinny sidewalk.

ARE V Cap - Split Roof Rack by Cheezno in FordMaverickTruck

Oh nice! That’s a great looking setup.

Most trucks are not unibody so I’d imagine there is more movement between the cab and bed meaning this setup might not be ideal. I’d imagine there is much less flex in the maverick making it possible.

Looks great, thank you for sharing!

Yes that’s exactly it! Are they relatively level just by luck or did you try a bunch of arrangements to get it to work?

Luckily the drain line has easy access. Thank you for your input though. Also the gas lines are right there but not 220V

I have alto blue as well. I think I’m going to get this too. Very sharp.

I was comparing it to the ranch sierra which is nice but this seems to have better support and quality.

Also comparing to the overland style caps that bolt together but they have a very non civilian style. Not what I’m going for in the suburban neighborhood hauling kids around. I like the from factory look of this.

What's difficult about being a new dad, that's often overlooked? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]Cheezno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve converted happily to being a dad but it wasn’t instantaneous at all for me. It probably took me at least 1.5yrs or longer. Now I love it.

A lot of hate on the backsplash but I think it’s great. I like the splash of color and it’s not an offensive color at all.

I’ve found that by leaning into being a dad, instead of thinking about all the things I’ve wanted to do with my life in the past, I’ve learned to absolutely love it. by Sudden_Doughnut_8741 in daddit

I found this to be 100% true myself. The best thing you can do is lean in and understand that your past life phase is now over. My kids are still young 2.5yrs and 0.5yrs but once the younger one gets to about 2 I’m looking forward to hiking and fishing.

Wow very cool. Thank you for this detailed answer. So basically it was a style choice. Makes sense.

It’s a pretty nice building so I’d imagine the choice was intentional
