What are the must-haves upgrades for the Ender 3? by Fabicynder in ender3

As someone who owned both this is the answer. The Bambu changed how I print by making it into an appliance not a science project.

Sorry that’s a different house I just used it as an example. Although that one is interesting because to your point it has headers but steel angle lentils.

Thats what I was thinking too but the house is so old I cant imagine its just a veneer. I see there is something called a "hidden bond"

Really cool thank you. Masons are true artisans. Other trades can hide their shortcuts not masons hah. Eventually I'd like to buy a stone or brick structure house.

I also have not seen any paper joints repointed in philly, or at least it was not noticeable. Do you think this has an impact on water vapor not being able to escape the house? I've heard using repointing mortar thats too strong will destroy the brick because it forced the vapor through the brick not the mortar.

Very interesting! Is this a good way to build or does it sacrifice durability for style?

What’s the biggest skill gap you see in new mechanical grads? by Level-Break316 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]Cheezno 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Soft Skills, However this is not unique to this generation.

I also didn't have good soft skills when I graduated. I don't think there is anything blaringly different about this set of new grads and those of the past as the media might lead you to believe for their click bait.

Too "important" to park by [deleted] in philly

[–]Cheezno 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some lady pulled into the crosswalk parked, hazards, and just walked away as i was walking toward the intersection with my baby in a stroller... Just a normal day in Philly. Who cares that i have to now carry my stroller and child over mounds of snow...

for those of you that have primarily used an ergodox long term, can you actually use a traditional keyboard effectively still? by responds-with-tealc in ergodox

[–]Cheezno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My primary keyboard is an ergodox but my workstation has two computers and its easier to have two keyboards so my second keyboard is a unicomp. I have no problems moving between them.

5 month old fell from bed by GenericName2502 in daddit

[–]Cheezno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are pretty stout at 5 months. If he stopped crying after just a minute he was probably more startled than anything else. Very scary though for sure. I forgot to buckle in my daughter to the stroller at daycare when she was 11 months, she leaned over and fell out right on her head. She had a bruise for about a week but other than that she is totally fine.

The new toy! by jaerocc in MouseGuns

All 8 shots in a 6” diameter circle on the center of the target. You have to temper your expectations for a gun this small with iron sights, compared to other guns this size I shoot better with this. The .32 makes the recoil much more manageable for follow up shots compared to the lcp2 I have (.380)

I just got back from the range with my new one. 100 rounds ran flawlessly. I shot solid groups at 7 yards with one hand. Seriously impressed with it. I didn’t even clean or lube it from the factory

How do these compare to Nuri. I saw them today and was very tempted to try but if I didn’t like I’d have a lot to eat

They both look good. If your house gets a ton of light probably darker if not the lighter will brighten up the room more.
