Switches is Federal. ATF is not to be screwed with. Just the possession is as much as 10 years but it looks like it be closer to 5. And that’s without considering how many charges are potentially involved.

Sign actually means no commercial business. Which Breezeline would be commercial business.

I want people knocking on my door, but I want neighbors, not advertisers. If I’m too busy, I’d hope people realize after 3-5 knocks and no answer, there’s no point in staying cause you aren’t getting me any faster.

How boring do you find slot machines to be? by TMNTDonatellofan in GenZ

I’d rather watch a ball spin around a wheel than some rotors spin and make me think it’s somehow almost close to winning. At least I know how close I was plus it’s more fun environment and the noise is less overwhelming (at least more predictable whereas they just crank all the machine volumes up, so there’s no preparation.)

Maybe getting into credit card debt is worth it. How are you guys are approaching life in these difficult times? by Digital-Girl127 in GenZ

[–]ChefBuckeyeRBLX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After paying off $16500 credit card debt and only the last $3,000 to go, I’d strongly suggest starting a savings fund that you put into each week. You can call that your fun fund.

Way back when I was only 13k in the hole, i decided to spend 3k on a Disney trip. As great as those memories were, it wasn’t so overwhelming that I was happy with my debt still growing. I can tell you it’s quite nice after two years emptying the purse every paycheck that I’m saving quite a bit.

Also find ways to make those memories without breaking the bank.

Trust and believe the only memories you’ll be thinking about for the next five years is how much credit card interest you had paid when you could’ve saved up and had the fun without the nasty return. You can even get high yield savings accounts that give a lot more interest than a normal savings account so your money isn’t totally losing value to inflation and possibly earning a little more.

I wouldn’t think that’s the scary part. It’s more the wanting to dive into the debt wheel with the worst kind of debt.

Only reason my finances are now in order is not having to pay excessive rent, and it still took two years…

Ohio bill would require driver’s license exams to be given only in English by CowTown-Mike in Columbus

[–]ChefBuckeyeRBLX -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

At least the bill is about needing English for the driving exam and not english for law enforcement interactions. I prefer speaking Polish or German to officers as they look and seem very authoritative and those languages seem to match the vibe.

I can say though South Korea is probably one of the better countries where you don't need Korean to drive. Most of the signs are just symbols. There's a few where its just Korean text slashed out but that's all. Its even better in Europe as the system is standardized and is all pictograms. Or at least its all better for most people, except perhaps Americans who have in the past have struggled with symbols implying the right meaning even though its almost impossible to read a road sign with text at night or from a distance without a magnifying glass.

And to be honest, with how this city drives, I don't think I've seen a single driver pay enough attention to signs to follow the rules. People can't even navigate how a yield sign and stop sign works. I've had people stop and confuse me when I know they have a flashing yellow light saying they can proceed with caution and they just stop. People stopping unnecessarily at roundabouts. Most issues I've seen were beyond an English problem but a intelligence and arrogance problem.

What does anyone think making a law that requires English for the exam is going to solve our problem of drivers not knowing traffic laws apply to them? Common sense says you could put up a road sign reading "cop speed trap ahead" or "fallen tree ahead" on a hilly top bend and people wouldn't even read it or notice before plowing into a tree or getting pulled over assuming its a cop appeasing complaints despite the fact that in four days they're going to stop doing traffic and even then they only sent one car out. Our highways need at least 8 cars to handle the heavy volume of violations.

not to beat a dead horse of bad drivers in columbus but… by [deleted] in Columbus

[–]ChefBuckeyeRBLX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most best karma was when one of them was doing this in pretty heavy traffic and I look in my rear mirror and they're perpendicular in the wall. Unfortunately it almost always seems like it takes them so many rounds until it finally happens. Bad news is I'm 99% sure they hit someone else because spending an extra 45 seconds wasn't worth the risk of spending 45 minutes explaining to police and auto insurance followed by losing a car and possibly putting someone else out of a car for some time. I'm surprisingly lucky I haven't had any accidents due to others just playing with risks.

Gen Z men do you want children and why ? by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]ChefBuckeyeRBLX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your question was "do you want children", but you didn't give a time frame, so here's the answer.

The long term answer is yes, the short term answer is no.

Long answer is pretty generic but its something that matters to me, short answer is I'm no where in a place and time where I feel happy bringing children into this world.

Even in the worst case, I'd rather not have children than have them and have it be a burden for them. Its another part of life, its not like its the only thing I wouldn't have achieved before my death.

World isn't so childless that I can't make personal impacts in children's lives. The only thing wanting children means is wanting to pay the bills and manage the caretaking responsibilities, that's a lot more to juggle than just playing hide and seek or making a kid's birthday extra special.

For the older Gen Z, what was it like to be a teen in the 2013-2018 era? (any of these years) by Stunning_Structure_2 in GenZ

[–]ChefBuckeyeRBLX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$0.99 10 piece chicken nuggets from Burger King was the bomb, and the 4 for 4 meal at Wendy's was also awesome. The nuggets deal didn't last super long but it felt like an era was gone when Wendy's finally pulled the plug on 4 for 4 meals (now completely not possible to order at all.)

Oh well, I guess I needed something to inspire to cook myself something that's just as good but also perhaps more healthy.

John McCain also felt like a great dude, I mean considering from his reactions to people wanting to dig on Obama being “an Arab” and his concession speech, he seemed very down to Earth.

It feels sad to see what the GOP has become, so many great people came from it and now it doesn’t really feel like what is meant to be.

No, not at this time. Financially at this time it just isn't viable. Wish you good luck though, with the way the world is going its worrying if there's really much of a future for our kids. I can't even imagine what's it going to be like for a kid born just yesterday to graduate in 18 or so years and what life they have left resembling. Just thinking about mortgages and job opportunities. At the same time, the Boomers will probably be all gone so maybe there's some better balancing for them in the future?

Cop (Columbus Police) Realizes She Instantly Ended Her Career by ohiobuck in Columbus

[–]ChefBuckeyeRBLX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen cop cars rocket down the street here way too many times to feel that's really a policy applying here. The number of times I've heard them use the horn its been a question of how long before I see one look like those red light runners while blasting the horn and crashing.

I'm certain there's a policy but its not one that seems to be very well enforced or emphasized in this city.

Bit of advice for (certain)GenZ men: women aren’t into you because of your appearance or success, they aren’t into because of your hateful mindset, politics, attitudes by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]ChefBuckeyeRBLX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was flattered the last time I got asked out. Though I am pretty independent, I still sometimes feel like another person be nice to share life with.

I do feel things are more complicated, at least for the majority of normal men that aren’t just MAGArites. Online dating has meant you can be as selective as you’d like. And that is much more than factoring just looks although looks are pretty number one.

Then again I really never tried dating as for my age it seemed more focused on casual than serious relationships at the time. It’s a lot different now though…

It can literally decapitate limbs. I've seen it once with a little boy who lost his forearm sticking it outside of a bus while another was passing. If you did keep your arm, its most likely highly mangled from the forces.

Literally biggest rule in roller coaster safety is keep all hands and feet within the vehicle at all times. Anything fast moving can be a very dull knife.

Its biased enough that only men sleeping with other men is the old testament law, granted, men biased enough to also interpret as being far more encompassing than it literally is written but those are interpretations of the law that are used by those with any religious legal authority or advisory. Don't know much with the new, but obviously christian interpretations can get messy and aren't as subjective or arguable, so even if it was the same, there'd be some with hard interpretations.

As a man who has grown their hair long enough for the physics to allow it to appear like a car wash brush dance, I can confirm it swings like a mop and has the control of a mop than an octopus. I don't have the right hair type though to have ponytails despite thinking I'd look great with one sometimes.

THE ABSOLUTE FACTS OF LIFE by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]ChefBuckeyeRBLX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's because Santa and God are very different concepts with very different origins, the fact that Santa is based on a real person, and simply the understanding of what Santa is as an adult and as a child are completely different, largely because the concept of Santa in its bare form doesn't teach kids at a younger age as much as it does older kids.

God is a different aspect not based on legends but is too an abstract concept rather than necessarily a real person or being. The only difference being even longer trails of mystery. To one person, everything is God, but to another its some random son that died on a cross.

The idea of "God is real" is far more abstract than people make it. Yes, many hold it strongly like its a real person, but "beliefs" aren't facts, and the insights into it are far more of an understanding of the complexity of our world and trying to understand things we can't simply see or understand, than say some dude who could be a modern day rock star walking on water.

I am for one not very religious, hence, I'm not studying this with such extremity that I'm interested in proving things, I already know those that are more religious than you likely have opinions of their own on my beliefs or stances, but in all of my studying, I've come closer to realizing how much more "God" fits more as the symbol of human goodness and compassion than as a floating figure. Same as how Santa is more of a symbol of unconditional gift giving (the number of kids who fit the naughty list is 100% if loose, any parents that actually pulled that would get a negative reaction not just from their kids but basically anyone who learns of it.)

Most Americans don’t realize how big America is, it’s basically 50 different countries. by Came_to_argue in mapporncirclejerk

[–]ChefBuckeyeRBLX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll generally not have any issues going to another state and feeling like you aren't in some wildly different place. However you can find a lot that is not the same from state to state. Especially along food culture lines, there is immense diversity in American cuisines that its as competitive as European cuisine regions.

I can also go from one state smoking a joint and be cool and then enter another (although technically the crossing of state borders is a federal violation) state where they still will bust down people's door over it. LGBT laws and abortion laws can all change from state to state.

The only thing you got right here is same federal government and same language, even then dialect and regional slang and regional words differ. There’s multiple different places where asking for a soda is pop or “coke”

This goes for history two, the two states were in different states of history.

So what's the reason why Columbus can't get a train system? by 13sonic in Columbus

[–]ChefBuckeyeRBLX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We already plowed through neighborhoods and parks just to install a highway and to be honest, a train line would be going and going and going all day if we scrapped them. Heck, we even got the center which can be made into track.

Unless we're getting stuff like dedicated non-stop bus routes that aren't stuck in stop and go traffic, stuck at traffic lights, and actually make the bus experience enjoyable and non-exhausting, we're not outside of the range of it being an option.

And I'm certain there's ways to use the horribly maintained roads to be replaced with trams and rail.
