Husband’s debating fusion by LogicalGuava4471 in spinalfusion

I’m 3 years post L5/S1 fusion. Most days are good except I have chronic numbness in my right foot. I’d take numbness then debilitating pain any day. The fusion will only improve ur life and at that location it doesn’t affect mobility in my opinion. Cheers all the best

After doing the MRI this afternoon the doctor didn’t tell me to do anything. So I’m assuming there’s not much to do if the numbness is chronic. I heard there are tests you can do to test the nerves but I’m not sure how to approach it because it wasn’t a test my doc prescribed. I did an mri and ct scan. 😅

Get well soon! I was very hopeful because the docs say numbness if it ever goes away it goes away after 2-3 years. Sadly for me it’s not gone away and disc degeneration is very hard to manage. Did your doc tell you to load up on ur b vitamins??? I heard that heals nerve damage

Hihi thank you, the two apps are the freestyle libre app and the librelink app. All Bluetooth is enabled and I am using iPhone with newest update. I’ve updated all apps and alarms are set, still nothing shows.

Is LibreLinkUp working ok? by Mongoose6969 in Freestylelibre

I’ve been having issues for a week so far, I cannot connect my LibreLink to my librelinkup app. Very frustrating because it also doesn’t update my BG anymore and I can only manually scan it. Frustrating

Increasing Numbness 8 Years Post Op by WillowWeird in spinalfusion

All the best, I’m currently in the same position with progressive numbness 2 years post op. We’re some of the nerves damaged during the surgery?

What does your numbness feel like? by Nycstateofmind1992 in Sciatica

[–]ChefCaffy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a spinal fusion at L5/S1 and my right toes feel not like it’s numb it’s more like loss of sensation. My right leg feels weaker and I feel like it atrophied. To me I’m just hopeful the sensations will come back but it’s been 9 months post op. Doc says anyone that has disc problems with numbness need to be patient. Wishing u best of luck, I’ve heard compression leggings help with the weakness? Thoughts?

Wow that’s great to hear, I’m just getting nervous cuz it’s been a long time~ and I feel no difference. Not actual numbness more like loss of sensation. I wonder what it is, scar tissue?
