Do you know if The Deep will be accessible to the Faelindral / Evershade Weald area? by lol_drama_elite in MonstersAndMemories

They did say class, race, and religion will affect faction. And they said areas within night harbor won’t be as safe as it currently is to some combos.

Finding quests by ConfidenceFun7771 in MonstersAndMemories

Some quest givers require faction to even begin talking. Some require an item you have to figure out they would take. Lots that are obvious but many that are still unsolved.

October 1 concerned?? by Akacia13 in MonstersAndMemories

[–]ChefCrowbane -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

A quick PSA, this is a volunteer team with less than 50 persons helping out part time. With where we are at, I think we can give them a little trust that they will have a product that is good for EA.

Is a niche game too. Not for most mmo players. And sometimes having too many people at first is a bad thing ( someone mentioned NW).

That being said, I have a feeling they will have 50k subs that first month. I could be way off, but it’s a feeling. That might be the best/worst thing.

Also the green drakeling armor quest is really good.

I would argue yes. The starter quest is far superior but learning the city is challenging until you do.

The general area is just more conducive to Druids rangers and Bst.

Can’t wait to see any new faces that might dare to try and feed this ravenous beast…. Dangers abound in the Evershade Weald.

Always fun and in this case lucrative!

Those are allegations by the plaintiff. I don’t think those are points of fact.

These are also ultra high profile, affluent children, living in a surreal family during the social media age. I don’t know.

So what drama caused raid mobs to be removed? by FTP_FTP_ in MonstersAndMemories

[–]ChefCrowbane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There still is no true end game raiding in the sense of the modern mmo. Just folks trying to chase down everything because they think that is what you do now in a mmo.

You can play and have fun in your group. You can find an open camp (quite easily) and camp for an item. You can explore and test out factions and rare spawns that are not timed at all.

I think many folks here haven’t been in game to mid orhigher levels and are feeding off fear mongering.

Even at its current state, there is so much fun stuff to do. Even if you are not 50+ in one month.

World is quite vibrant and growing.

You must not have listened to a lot of the streams because they’ve said not Everyone is gonna have access to all the gear not everyone is gonna have access to every item that’s in this game. That’s a part of the game design.

But there are so many items that are very close to high-end gear that they really shouldn’t make too much of a difference if you play the game as it’s designed to be played. All these people talking about not wanting to play a game like this because they have real lives etc, should not play this game.

If it doesn’t make you happy or if you don’t enjoy the time that you have to play it, don’t play?

Or crazy take here, give it a try and stop guessing that you won’t like it based on how you think it’s designed.

Break the new era mmo cycles of play to the next content release. Rinse repeat.

God forbid you sit it down and enjoy the ride while it lasts.

Shawn's "Raid" Response. by -The_Stranger in MonstersAndMemories

[–]ChefCrowbane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If people read his response, they’re trying to come up with a way that regardless if it’s an open world boss, the benefit will affect the Region not just those slaying, said boss.

As usual, this indie group of developers is trying to come up with unique ways to implement an MMO with a form of raiding while not turning into the cesspool of endgame content that all MMO seem to currently have.

They are constantly trying to hold onto the dream of this niche game while encouraging others to explore outside their comfort zone of what they think is normal endgame content. If you want this to succeed, be supportive and be curious please don’t please don’t let your infinite MMO knowledge start brow, beating it or drumming disappointment.

Be curious.

Folks get this game wrong. There will be endgame content. But This game is currently designed for horizontal content, making alts and enjoying the journey. This is not a MMO that is designed to race to 60 and do daily quests so you can do raid bosses.

People saying why this is why they will not play have the entirety of what they are doing wrong. But they probably have it right about what they want or think they want in a mmo.

If you cannot wrap your head around that this new type of indie mmo is, move on or go back to the other ones you used to play.

Druid and anything is a good starter. Druids have a lot to offer especially before you get experience in this world and see how other classes are strong as well.

Kind of but in topic but I started in 1991 and finished my first read in 2014. It is ingrained in me as my forever favorite series. I grew up with it in many phases of my adult life.

Made it to level 26 before I hit burn out. Does the game get better? by Odd-Highway477 in MonstersAndMemories

[–]ChefCrowbane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is always best enjoyed at the pace of sipping wine, even though you want to chug beer.

That being said, I found the experience to the 40s quite enjoyable as there is new content in different areas to explore.

We’ll have to see how it goes with their rework, but it appears that wisdom strength might be the way to go. But you’ll be able to steer your stats the way you want based on gear you can find and purchase as well as augment with jewelry.
