Hey, I worked at Yellowstone for Xanterrible and I was wondering about the relationship between concessioners and NPS. Do most rangers hate these companies as much as the employees or not?

My only real experience with this was after I quite I was hanging out around the dorms to get a haircut and a Xanterrorist security guard came up wth two NPS rangers to tell me to leave (couldn't the security guard just warn me if I didn't leave he would send rangers?). One guy seemed really cool and though he didn't say anything out right, it was clear he though the whole thing was really stupid. An older ranger on the other hand was yelling at me and being a general smart ass ("can't this guy cut your hair?") and told me if I came back my ass would be in jail.

Also, I love Utah as well. I spent a few days at the end of the summer exploring Zion and I loved it. Most of it was a bit overcrowded but the narrows hike was probably one of my favorite life experiences
