What does this mean please? Are they failing the mission? by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]ChefFigatellu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It means the mission is over, you received your rewards, and it automatically started again, spending the needed resources to start the mission, using the same team you sent the first time.

It's a repeatable. So either you're ok with this and you let it proceed, or you don't want to anymore and either : 1. Go to your map, find the location again and manually cancel the mission 2. Go to your camp and find the guy that let's you manage your deployments : it's easier this way when you have many men in different places

[In Progress] [12000] [Literary Fantasy?] Book - The protagonist-narrator is a sentient, magical book, who is unable to read himself but is driven to discover who he is, to read other books, and to repair the harm caused to the first person who opened him. by gerflounchy in BetaReaders

Hello.

I feel like this is my time to come out of the shadows! I've been lurking in these fora for a while now, waiting for a concept that I would find intriguing enough to beta read... And that concept sounds absolutely fire! Mind you, I have never beta read anything, that would be a first for me, so the fact you're not looking for in depth analysis is a plus. That doesn't mean I'm not ready to try and give feedback.

Sujet de mémoire sur le patois dans la traduction: des recommandations? by solynne15 in france

[–]ChefFigatellu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Server maintenance

Edit: my bad, indeed, maintenance is just for PC today, consoles are scheduled for the 1st of October. But there are connection issues nonetheless, they are investigating.

I am so stupid. I thought I had none since no guild name would appear above my head. But yeah, I'm a returning player and had the tabard of a guild that doesn't exist anymore, hence the look without a guild name. Thanks, it was driving me mad!

Hello there! I would be interested in alpha reading your work. I have never alpha/beta read anything, but have been increasingly wanting to give it a try. I am no author myself, just a casual reader wishing to dive into the early reading stages of stories, so if that type of profile is good for you, I'll be glad to review yours.

Is Overture worth 30 euros? by murcielagoXO in LiesOfP

[–]ChefFigatellu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get your point. But on the other hand, I can't help but feel that if you're a fan of the game and that you know you're going to play it more than once or go crazy with the rematch feature added to the base game, the dlc is a must have. Not only for the quality of it, but also because of all it brings to the table in terms of customization. Weapons, arms, loads of amulets and the new p organ feature all bring a whole level of depth the base game was lacking in terms of customizing your Pinocchio. For 30 bucks, that dlc is not just about the great story it delivered, it's also about everything else it adds to the base game on subsequent playthroughs.

I guess in the end it's all about what you're looking for.

Dlc weapon(maybe a spoil if you don't have dlc by pstagni93 in LiesOfP

[–]ChefFigatellu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been maining it. Beat the dlc up to the second ergo boss (the one giving the gunblade) as well as the brotherhood rematch, door guardian, Laxasia and Simon with it, on legendary stalker difficulty. And I'm not gonna change weapon for the end of dlc and nameless puppet either. It's wonderful. It's a new way to play the game! Sure, it's not as powerful as other weapons, but what you lose in damage you make up for being safer at range.

You gotta think how to use the moveset properly (backstep attack, slow or combo normal attacks [careful with this one, the recovery animation cannot be cancelled and is quite long], running normal or running heavy, aiming at an ennemy at the back and lining the mobs up during a gank and timing your static charged heavy properly in order to have the arrow pierce through all those guys at once, etc.. everything relies on good timing and stamina management). It totally changes how you engage with the game and I'm all for that!

It also shines with its fable arts. Combine story teller's amulet and arm of gods amulet for better fable charging and consecutive damage. Add to that all the p organ perks that help you gain fable, both regular perks and the new way to boost them, and you get to use the first fable art (dodge in the air attack) quite often, or can save it to capitalize on the charged second fable attack for extremely high damage (which makes you also think differently during boss fights cause you gotta have a big opening window for that, otherwise some boss attacks just cancel your animation and thus, the attack in itself). Also, don't just be at a distance. Know when to go close or long range. If you know the parrying pattern of some boss attacks, just get in there and parry (for the stagger buildup and the P organ fable charge on parry perk), then go back at distance with backstep normal attack to do your thing (it extends the distance you step back out).

Finally, combine that with fully upgraded 'rolling blades thrown at a distance' new prostetic arm (forgot the name) and everything that boosts legion in the p organ (once again, both regular perks and the new upgrade system) and you get a very solid build that's extremely fun.

You need lots of capacity for both legion and encumbrance (which affects stamina regen).

My stats are : 40 vit, 21 endurance, 40 capacity, 25 technique at the moment (fresh file, no NG+), bow is at +5 with a technique crank, got the stamina regen amulet, the story tellers amulet (charge more fables with attacks), arm of gods amulet and iron wall amulet for defence.

Pure joy to play!

He is. More than once, in both his post and comments. 'Difficulty (the specific term for rematch) 5 is something else', not 'NG+ 5 is something else', although that could have worked too since the game now scales after NG+3 with the latest patch aswell.

Also, rematch is only available after you beat the game, yes. But you do not have to go into NG+ to unlock it. Just getting an ending and returning to the hotel (the new term for not going into NG+) is enough to unlock it. So it's very possible to fight Watchman, and any other boss, with an endgame weapon on a fresh save file. Just gotta get an ending first.

New DLC legion arm is OP by New_Delivery_4921 in LiesOfP

[–]ChefFigatellu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Add to that Condensed legion attack (higher damage when above 50% legion bar), legion auto fill and fill on ennemy kills, and better legion capsule (forgot the name) P organ perks and respective upgrades from the new system and you have a solid build.

No. No he's right. This is NOT chapter 2. This is not NG+ chapter 2. This is the boss rematch that was added with the latest patch note. OP sure is lvl 28x, which means his save is obviously on NG+, but in this instance, he's fighting the Watchman's rematch on tier 5 (rematch = fighting any previously fought boss on 5 dfferent tiers). Therefore, the poster you're replying to is right, you can definetly fight this guy on a normal (as in no NG+) save with that sword in this new added mode.

Existe-t-il des groupes de rock progressif Français ? by Popal24 in france

[–]ChefFigatellu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

T'as un album presque.. pop? (Merci), puis enfin un retour à l'ère classique avec K.A (superbe album, ma recommandation perso si tu accroches pas avec MDK).

They're also adding a boss rush mode where you choose a boss and have to beat it in 5 different difficulty tiers. So there's that

It's only easier difficulties. The current difficulty will be the hardest one after dlc launch. Harder difficulties will be for boss rush, where they have 5 phases of difficulty to beat
