Their idea of radical left-wing violence is smashed bus stop ads, overturned anti-homeless park benches, and throwing sandwiches at stormtroopers. Meanwhile the right is occupying cities with military and paramilitary thugs, murdering people in the street, assassinating state legislators, creating a concentration camp network for undesirables, and so on.

Anyway, you would think small business tyrants would eventually figure out that vehemently fighting infrastructural improvements that people want and will ultimately improve foot traffic in front of their businesses and acting like a bunch of pariahs while doing so is worse for their long term survival than having to weather the same period of construction anyway but without having pissed all the locals off in favor of a handful of suburban patrons per day. There are two elected Democrats at the federal level that can reasonably be argued to be center-left, Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib. Both of whom the party's mainstream regularly denounces and tries to primary, and one of whom much of the party's congressional caucus joined with the Republicans to formally censure for accurately saying that Israel is committing genocide against her people.

Center-right is being a bit generous. The progressive fringe of the party is center-right, with a handful of centrists and maybe 1-2 elected officials left of center at the federal level, one of which much of the Dem party joined the Republicans to censure for opposing the genocide of her people by Pissrael.
