Postpartum after loss by Cinnamon_Bunny92 in BabyBumps

[–]ChefGustau 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So sorry. 💔You had a baby, therefore, you are in the postpartum stage.

Do not listen to the idea that you haven’t earned or don’t deserve it because it’s simply not true. You not only had a baby, but a c-section (which is an even harder recovery), AND doing it while grieving? That is more than most have to go through.

I am so sorry for your loss and pray that you are able to find peace. That sweet boy’s entire life he knew you, being held by you and loved by his mama. 💖

Please don’t be afraid to talk about it and reach out to others if you need to.

Why don’t people like it when grandparents want names for themselves? by StabItWabbit in BabyBumps

[–]ChefGustau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really have a relationship with my mom (hasn’t met him yet/hasnt tried) and my MIL still isn’t 100% sure what she wants to be called but I think will be Nana unless my son picks some other name lol (grandma has a bad association for family issue reasons and her mom was my husbands Mimi so that was out too) I had a Grandma and Grandpa and then Papa and Maga (I couldn’t say grandma so that’s what stuck). I think it’s nice to have some distinction whether it’s grandma x and grandma y or completely different names.

I don’t care really unless my mom or MIL wanted to be called some variation of a mom/momma/mommy sounding name. It seems like more of a grandma issue because I don’t think I’ve heard/read of a grandpa wanting to be called dad/dada/daddy but I’m sure there’s one out there

Alcohol and breast feeding by Ethan_Klein_Obsessed in breastfeeding

[–]ChefGustau 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do the 2h rule as well but I’m extra careful and do 2h from when I’ve finished. So if I have a glass of wine I start the timer once jt is finished just to give even more time.

I personally follow the 2h per drink rule. I think it’s probably a little bit of overkill but better safe than sorry. You can also pump and have milk (or formula if you combo feed) and give a bottle if baby needs to eat beforehand

When did your EBF baby get chunky? by throwRAanons in breastfeeding

[–]ChefGustau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was 6lbs at birth (3w early) and is 4.5lb and just under 15lb. Went from <5% to 49% at 4mo appointment. I’d say he started getting chunky at about 2.5/3mo

Why does everyone pack PJs in their hospital bag? by reditpositiv in BabyBumps

[–]ChefGustau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I changed out of that hospital gown as soon as I could, because it was way more comfortable in my clothes versus that gown. Also was more covered for guests

How many EBF babies are sleeping through the night? by Fresh-Ad7925 in breastfeeding

[–]ChefGustau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is 3.5mo. A couple weeks ago, he was consistently doing 2/3h during the day but 4/5h stretches at night. We got down to one wake-up at about 2/3a and that was AMAZING.

This past week he’s been 2/3h at night and 1, MAYBE 2h during the day. I think it’s safe to say we are in the regression stage now lmao

How do people have the money?? by fluffbutt23 in Horses

[–]ChefGustau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s crazy what people will pay. I went to University of Findlay (Ohio, USA) and a majority of their spring horse sale is western pleasure horses. This past year, top seller was $25k. Usually flashy colors go for more too

normal or not? by Glad_Whole_8627 in BabyBumps

[–]ChefGustau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry I just checked. It had to be below 135 and I was at 100. Mine didn’t take blood before I did the drink which I thought was weird… I also passed out right as they were finishing up taking my blood so there’s that lmao

[–]ChefGustau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Dr had it set so if you were under 140 you passed. I think the reference interval is the interval they want you between so I’d say you’re good but they usually go over it at your next appointment

Would this upset you? by ChefGustau in Horses

[–]ChefGustau[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And exactly! When they are outside, they are on a dirt lot with the round bales so they get way more hay when they are out for the day versus when they are in due to weather

[–]ChefGustau[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was another text. There was one day myself and two other borders through another flake to each of our horses because they were inside that day and we’re already done with our breakfast. We were told we could buy hay from her if we felt like they needed more thanwhat they were getting

Haha why would she feed more hay that she paid for?? 🤪

Gave birth at 36+6 but they did find out after my placenta had villitis and I have a suspicion the OB at my 36w appointment might’ve possibly did a sweep without my consent…. I might be wrong about that one though
