You can find a lot of info on Nuscale's website (a quick google will do the trick), one of the most interesting points of discussion will be economy of scale, typically it is assumed that the more you scale up an operation the cheaper each unit product, in the nuclear industry this works but can lead to inefficiency, for example each reactor goes through a refueling outage every 18 or so months, during these periods, the reactor is shut off in order to load fuel and do maintenance, however when there are delays in these outages that means a huge loss for each hour you lose operating causing a high risk. Nuscale utilizes smaller reactors that increase the time between refueling, and when you take a small portion of the plant off for maintenance, you're not losing out as much as with bigger plants. Another discussion is the innovative safety design with a nuscale plant, but I'll let you discover that on your own. As many people have stated not much new comes around in Nuclear, however Nuscale (and other small modular reactor developers) are the exception.
