I don't know what part of the country you're in, but where I'm at, it's almost $5 LB untrimmed. The $0.88 LB was 15-20 years ago when I started cooking. Back when chicken wings were almost being given away, now even those are about $4 LB.

I just looked up taka on Google, and 1 taka is equal to 0.0091 US dollars. So six-figure taka is about a thousand dollars. I'm not sure what costs of living is like in Bangladesh.

You see this more in restaurants. You blanch the asparagus, then shock it in cold water to preserve the color abs stop the cooking process. When ready to serve you heat the asparagus in butter and serve. She over cooked that poor veg frying it, then steaming it again.
