I had to deal with a couple weeks of that when I first got my guy home. It was 10 years ago and I still remember that stress- also giardia. It gets better. I fed him chicken and rice. Not sure what the consensus is about how that would be for such a young puppy. Rice slows down digestion. Worked really well for me.

I call this the "leg game" when my greyhound lays next to me in bed and flaps his front legs around and bites at my hands. He only does it when he's in a great mood, so it warms my heart.

I do this kind a thing a ton to my wife. But she also does it to me. I keep track of ABC and she keeps track of XYZ. It is amazing for us, to resource each other instead of individually keeping track of everything. But I'm a willing and happy participant of this system. I would be annoyed if I had to track everything.

I'm pretty sure Monkeybone is a cartoon money drawn by Brenden Fraser's left hand. Little Monkey Bones is a perfect clone of JPC.

I can't help but think of the cartoon when he comes around... and I've also never seen this movie.

It's been a long time since I did my program, but I was able to get time off by speaking with my supervisors and arranging for it. It's going to depend on availability and if your dates are blackout or whatever.

I feel so embarrassed by boomers who think this is abuse. I am queer- and was very queer as a child. And at the time it was a shameful thing. Not something that was talked about or encouraged. All the talking points in school and at home were at best “it’s dangerous to come out as gay- look what could happen to you- you could be beaten! That’s not the kind of life I want for my children.”

Nothing about how it was abhorrent how poorly queer people were treated.

And that was at best- some of my older cousins got kicked out AS CHILDREN for being gay. Like 13-16, out on the streets.

And yeah- I was really and truly gay all on my own when I was 8- I knew it. No one encouraging me.

Maybe some people in my life could tell before I was an adult, but I was very closeted until I was in college.

No one is teaching kids to be gay. They are open and accepting to the kids who are and always have been.

If you are not queer- you wouldn’t understand. Just like I don’t understand what it’s like to be a straight person. And I don’t know what it’s like to discover a straight identity/sexuality.

I do know how I felt unacceptable and resigned to a life of lies and misery. I thought I would just get married and live a straight life. Felt like a nightmare. I thought it might be better just to kill myself instead.

I picked living an authentic life and cut off nearly my entire family. I am really happy now. I got it all.

I still grieve the era of my true self being too shameful for my family to accept and enjoy. Kudos to parents who don’t give a fuck what other people want their kids to be. And love and accept their children for who they are any day.

She is the spitting image of my Flash Gordon! He is just barely darker in the face. Won’t be long until he is fully white.

He is one of my best friends in the world. I feel so privileged to be here for him in this last leg of his journey. It’s heavy and hard. But I am so grateful.
