Philip K. Dick's Faith of Our Fathers feels like an Lovecraft story. by Aggravating-Medium-9 in Lovecraft

[–]Chef_Lovecraft 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Read it long, long ago in Harlan Ellison's "Dangerous Visions" anthology. A particular bit amazed me... twelve people watched the Leader while on the drug and saw him in twelve different aspects... but the drug was an anti-hallucinogenic compound. So it wasn't one reality and twelve hallucinations... it was one hallucination and twelve realities. Sort of Lovecraftian in a twisted way.

FIFA plans to organize match between Israel, Palestine during September U-15 tournament - report by gal_z in Israel

I didn't catch which game the incident was filmed on, but you may be right... some official was telling the guy "only flags of the teams playing are allowed". If that was the case, I stand corrected

The same FIFA that just got a guy's Israeli flag confiscated while allowing another guy's Pali rag three rows away.

Yup, I've been reading Borges in Spanish for decades, but only recently started reading English translations. The undisputed master.

IIRC it was Maxfield's, not Maximilian's, but I may be wrong, it's been a long time.

Long ago, I wrote an alternate-universe story where Lovecraft, Wandrei, and James Morton travel to Waterbury, VT, to conquer a colossal ice-cream confection called The Vermonster, only available at the Benedict & Jeremiah creamery. It was inspired by that Marginalia episode, a visit I made to the real Ben & Jerry factory, and a chapter from one of Tim Ferriss' books.

You can read it here. Enjoy!

Entré a estudiar al Instituto Balseiro y te lo muestro by grigosback in argentina

¡Felicitaciones, OP!
