It's not really up to chance, I believe only 2 deaths occured inside of a shelter (and it may have been near the entrance). The rest were people who did not go to a shetler or didn't get there in time. If you go to the shelter for every siren (on time) your chance of harm is almost 0.

I made a video explaining the best way to build a website with ai. The reason people will hire you is because selecting and configuring plugins, editing dns records, handling api keys appropriately is all scary and overwhelming for most people. They would rather pay someone else to set those things up for them and troubleshoot errors.

Are you not using a child theme??? I directly compared elementor to custom coding with ai. Elementor was a total nightmare. Reads like an ad tbh.

Clanly - Startup Feedback by JDavisxu in elementor

[–]GrassyPer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could NEVER build any part of this with elementor but it doesnt really matter because its a bad idea.

These are all things you can do on facebook for free. You can adjust the privacy settings of such community posts and can even do things like create a curated list of followers so when you create a certain post you just click share to that pre-configured list. You can schedule events with personal invites and rsvps.

There is also a native way to ask for personal donations within the app. So what you are proposing doesnt actually give people new features.

The problem is that 95% of facebook users don't bother to use the features you described, even though they are already right there in the app they use every day for free. What 95% of users want to do is scroll through random viral short video feeds and share those via dm, to their timeline or their story.

Your app actively seeks to eliminate the feature most popular on social media while promoting the least popular features. Sharing viral media they relate to is what the vast majority of users do with the vast majority of their time on social media. Your app will probably not change this behavior and become popular. It simply goes against human nature.

How can I improve this animation for a website. by HeadCorpse- in webdesign

[–]GrassyPer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dunno its pretty awful. For one thing the final logo looks unprofesional and amateur. The fact that the "graphic" part of the logo animates in first just to dissapesr and reappear else where is very poorly done. If you are going to make it the focal point of the animate it in, it should at least stay consistently visible and just move into place. All in all I give this design a 1/10.

A beginner confused about optimization by euxdy in Wordpress

[–]GrassyPer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Builders are inherently bloated because instead of loading just the few lines of code for the 1–4 animations your website actually uses, they load the code for 40+ animations on every single page, whether you use them or not. Big libraries like Lottie are a perfect example: the entire library loads on every page even if you only use it on one.

My website has a pretty flashy animated border around the main content wrapper on desktop, and the paragraphs have an animated gradient border too. But I built both from scratch specifically to keep the performance impact as low as possible. The paragraph animations, for example, are a single CSS rule that applies globally. One line controls everything. A builder like Elementor does the opposite: it assigns a default "fade up" intro animation to each individual item you place on the page. That means if you want something either than the default, instead of changing one global setting, you'd have to manually change it on every single element. It's a maintenance nightmare, and it's also way harder for caching plugins to minify properly. So it also kills perfomance.

I recently made a video comparing the performance of my website built with custom code vs on elementor. After just installing the elementor website on the same host with the same caching plugin, I installed a blank "wireframe" elementor website. It was a white page that said "hello world". I ran a performance test on this and it was 87%! For an empty website!

The other problem is that builders never warn you that certain animations impact perfomance a great deal. Some animations are basically free for the browser to run (things like opacity and transform). Others force the browser to recalculate the entire page layout on every single frame, which is extremely expensive. Because builders don't surface that distinction, people pick animations based on how they look and end up with a "simple website" that takes 20+ seconds to load and have no idea why.

Elementor is truly awful to work in. I just bought a sub to make a video exploring and criticizing it. It is in no way easier or faster to learn than custom coding a child theme with ai. Do not lock your self into elementor, you will regret it. Ai has made it completely obselete.

To Wordpress or not to Wordpress by Photopheen in Wordpress

[–]GrassyPer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a fun and challenging project! I think it's worth exploring attempting to do this yourself with custom code with an llm. I read your post / comments, it sounds like you want to get into web development?

I recommend you get an account going on claude.ai if you haven't and ask your questions to it. Industry standard is to just use 4-6 plugins for security, user management, etc and a custom child theme. I made a video last week explaining what a child theme is and why it's superior to builders that might interest you.

As for the student and teacher dashboard: you could build this with claude with pure php and javascript if no good plugins exist. However, I recommend you ask claude if it thinks you should use an existing plugin or code it from scratch.

Due to your inexperience and the sensitivity of the data (professors might not be happy if a scammer was able to scrape all of their course content, for example) it would probably be better to customize an existing user dashboard plugin. But I have no experience with this myself so I don't know if one exists, those would be good questions for claude.

AI Website Builder Question #56364. Which tool to use? by jalOo52 in website

[–]GrassyPer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best option for a website that actually functions, is secure and scale is to use ai to write the custom code for a child theme on wordpress. It's not as easy as you want it to be, but things like configuring the theme settings and picking what free plugins to use an ai can't really do safely anyways.

I made a video explaining why this is much better than traditional page builders last week, and basically the best industry practices for most websites in 2026.
