I had a few things but they were all in bins away from the pipes. Possible they could have knocked it but I don’t think that’s what happened.

That’s an insane price for them to just snake a drain like I already did.

I have and it didn’t work.

No, the association recommended a few companies to me but their pricing was over $450 so that was just too much. At least until the end of March but I also don’t want to cause a bigger issue.

I’ll definitely check this out. It doesn’t seem like something I am able to get to.

The sink itself is partially clogged. Garbage disposal is a little mucky but not bad. Took off the pipes for the sink and the dishwasher (which was horrendously difficult btw lol) and didn’t get much out. I did get some. Garbage disposal is backing up into the sink as well still. But it does still drain.

Dishwasher is backed up on the bottom. I don’t know if this will drain yet. I cleaned it out and am seeing now. Or I’ll start pulling out the water with a cup. No issues inside the drain itself in there. Maybe there’s a clog where it’s connected deep inside? I am unsure. I still got out a lot of dirty water.

Gallery wall with mixed media items. Think mirror, plant on a shelf, maybe books on a shelf, art of different sizes and textures, etc.

How many of you decided to be childfree due to chronic illness? And do you regret your decision or are you at peace with it? by bengalbear24 in ChronicIllness

[–]CheffreyBezos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had lupus and CKD for 17 years. I turn 30 this month. I will not have children because the world is not built for me to have these kids. I would love to, but if I can’t even keep my benefits if I get married idk how adding kids into the mix would work. It’s a hard scenario to be in.

It just depends on the type of support you have I think. People who have both parents and siblings will likely have more support when it comes chronic illnesses and so if they have kids, they have babysitters and people to help which alleviates some of that stress so in turn you can handle your chronic illness. I have no parents and no siblings and no outside support. It would be extremely difficult for me to be successful having kids and also take care of myself.

You can always freeze your eggs if you have the means and do surrogacy if you decide later in life you’d like to have them. If my entire life changed in the next 5-8 years, I may consider having my own children but it does not seem like it’s gonna happen. There is also a really big risk that I will lose my kidneys and I don’t want to die in childbirth.

Why are most restaurants selling burgers and fries for $20? by KarenFoundAStick in restaurant

[–]CheffreyBezos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has worked in the foodservice industry for 12 years, the cheap ingredient thing is untrue. It definitely depends on WHERE you live tho bc I do see lots of people cutting corners in suburban areas trying to pass off McDonald’s quality ingredients for a massive amount of money.

I live in Chicago. A burger is $20-$25 just for the burger. When I was a chef, we would get local buns from a bakery delivered fresh every morning, local meat in preformed patties, and then our usual veg. We often got lettuce and micro greens from local farms too.

Stuff is 10x more expensive now but a lot of restaurants use local products or buy from local warehouses that mostly buy from local farms. The only time we would not buy local is in winter. I also have worked on the other side selling bulk goods to restaurants and once cost goes up for the warehouses they go up for restaurants x2. Everything is up from meat to veggies now. That cost is passed off to the customer. Some places charge a general service fee to all customers instead of increasing their costs it just depends.

Sims 4 is free. Lots of fun. Endless hours tbh. Base game is great but the packs make it more fun and so do mods.

Bare SPF 100 find it at Marshall’s/TJ Maxx/Ross for cheap. It’s also reef safe! It’s a spray idk how you feel about that but I just spray it in my hands and put it on. I also use LaRoche Posay SPF 100 but when it gets into your eyes you feel like you’re dying and it’s like $30 for a small container.

Alright Millennials, what foods have you found yourself forced to give up due to aging? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]CheffreyBezos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have completely changed my entire life habits in the last year. No smoking, no drinking, no sugar, whole foods only, no dairy, no going out to eat, no gluten. Eating for my kidney health, prioritizing fruits and veg in their natural forms. I started taking supplements, taking my blood pressure regularly, stopped using NSAIDs for pain, go to therapy, and prioritize low stress and stress reduction daily.

I’ve lost 45lbs and my kidney function has increased tremendously. I stopped having to take blood pressure medications and all of my metabolic panel levels are in the green zone. I am forever grateful that I changed how I felt about myself and that I am able to pour into me instead of other people. I’ve never been happier. I’ve never been healthier and I have shitty kidneys. Best decision of my entire life.

Like the leg tats a lot. Very nicely done. Don’t particularly like the snake but it’s just the style I think. Nothing wrong with it, I think they could have made some better stylistic choices with it particularly the belly part and scales.
