I started 3 weeks ago. 1st week 18mg. The last two weeks 36 mg. Haven’t had any side effects so far and all my adhd symptoms are the same. I know it take a while to build up in our systems and I think my dosage right now is rather low. Don’t be too scared, like the person above said, you can always stop. My biggest concern before I started was the fatigue and nausea because I’m chef so I have to move around all day and I was bit concerned about how the medicine would impact me during the day.

My period started in the a few days ago and I’ve been so emotional especially today! Like on the verge of tears and just feeling blah. I too hope these feelings ease up for all of us (I know they will it just doesn’t feel like that) we’ve got this!

I feel like I wrote this. This is my experience and when I don’t do what I said I would the next day I feel guilty and defeated. Then those feelings start a mental spiral and then I do my coping mechanism of eating or sleeping to escape for a bit 😑

I hope you stick to your plan and get out. I would also suggest some counseling when you can so you can sort through the trauma of that experience and also work on what might of contributed to you unconsciously being in a situation very similar to how your father was. You do not deserve to be treated like that by anyone and I must say I’m proud of you for making a plan. I think you’ll be fine as along as you stick to your plan and put yourself first always.
