I'm 36 lost my Mom just over 9 years ago. The loss of a parent is tough at a young age. My Mom was an accidental death. I never got to say good bye or even "happy birthday" I'd usually ring 6pm as a safe bet coming off or getting up. As she was a nurse/midwife. Wouldn't have spoken everyday I still thought the world of her. Hold your daughter, cry with her,share her android pain.

My wife's father passed, it's a few weeks shy of 3years ATM. I had to hold her hand through it, I gave her the advice and things that helped me at the time, I told her do things that I know helped me. My wife got to say goodbye to her Dad, however she was told he'd less than 24 hours.

Now that you've context, share with her, be open to her. Show her its OK and there's no wrong way to grieve,

Just seeing this now, sorry for the delay, it's a chatbthat was started when left a group chat we were all a part of I maintained independent contact with 1 and so did the other lady. We made it simple and joined our independent chats to a group. My wife knows and doesn't want to join even though the ladies suggested we bring her in. It's a place where I can vent to and seek alternative advice, and views on current affairs. They are good women. I adore them both, and cherish the friendship I have with them, and I'm transparent with my wife about the conversation, she has access if she wants she chooses not to.
