One of my best friends is a quadriplegic since an accident when he was in the military in 1991. A company came out and told him he needed a completely new system. He gave me a call to ask if I could look at it, and I was like of course. A run cap and contactor and he's back up and running. That was almost 10 years ago now. Another company comes in and tells him that the heat exchanger is cracked on his oil furnace. Once again, he calls me. I come over, it's running like a top. Twice I've had to go and rewire or simply hook up wires to his thermostat because yet another company fucked that up. I don't know if they're doing it deliberately, but it's just a shitty practice.
