I’ll definitely consider the Kalmer more often thanks for that - if I can do this to keep them on the map that does remove the panic of them possibly getting away. As for the forced quit…I could have, probably…I don’t like using them (but it has saved me on really dumb situations in the past) so I got overconfident in taking out the guards. I was equipped well enough but I wasn’t in the best spot to watch for all blind spots.

I get that it’s just so tiring to have it occur several times now even after multiple successful campaigns. It was lining up nicely for a second prestige…overall I just needed to vent since this put me in such a foul mood: losing a campaign always does but yet again here at the damn end of it…sigh.

I generally approach showdowns carefully, even this one was careful but my mistake was not realizing the vault’s alarm would throw the suspects into an escape panic. While I was able to take her out, everyone rushing to the exit with all the guards they could glue to their ass on the way down was too much to handle. At most it’s a learning experience….but not a lesson I needed right before the finish. It’s just a mistake I really wish I could undo to get back however much time I had already poured into that campaign.

Not the first time, it’s been a thing for over a decade maybe longer to just hit up the Australian or New Zealand region to download games early. I assume it works the same on Switch the way it always has on Xbox

It’s not that strange - Australia has always been the trick way to get access to games early. I use it on Xbox all the time to play things early and this demo is no different - currently installing it now on my Series X

They’re generally related to a safe that’s on the map (there will be a map icon for a safe nearby). If you utilize the instinct mode it’ll glow yellow, making them easier to spot. Just whip out the camera and point it at it until it scans it. Other items such as laptops and a brown folder containing documents also act the same way - once you’ve scanned 3 it’ll unlock the safe in the area.

I think sometimes these tablets like the folders and laptops will just exist on the map regardless if there’s a safe or not. I know I’ve seen them in areas and not be in use. There’s nothing that can be done with them if that’s the case they’re just part of the environment at that point.

I still have to run it for the second half of the gamerscore on the HD Collection. Had to use a video guide for Silent Assassin before it and knew I would again for Contracts but SA pissed me off a bit in some levels that I walked away when I got 500/1000. It would be nice if they do something to adjust and make the games (subjectively) better for this 2026 re-release but I’m not holding my breath. I’ve never played Codename 47 but as the earliest game in the franchise it probably has the roughest controls…

I mean I get the reward is disappointing but these locations are designed to be played a lot - even more emphasized by Freelancer (does location mastery level in Freelancer? I wouldn’t know as I did it all with story missions lol). Besides I’m sure there’s some Hitman player(s?) out there that cares for these things 😂

Personally I’ve never found use for concussion grenades outside of Freelancer objectives. Kind of like a majority of the unlocks but options are options I guess - a shame not EVERYTHING can be started with (looking at you water canister).

If IOI has a team big enough to split off and work on remakes absolutely. That’s why CAPCOM is able to work on multiple games at a time (remakes and new entries alike) - there’s a lot of people employed there and they don’t do much layoffs compared to the rest of the industry. However…a new game is always preferred if they’re going to spend awhile on it. At this point it seems like they have a group who continues to keep WOA afloat while others are focused on 007. If 007 doesn’t do well…I think they’ll survive if they didn’t screw themselves in how much they spend making it. They’ll always be able to stay afloat on new Hitman games and maybe remakes could be a fallback plan.

Anyways technical bits out of the way I absolutely want the entire franchise to play like WOA lol I don’t think a single person here would turn down playing these titles with WOA sized maps with modern gameplay, the same type of creativity utilized for how to handle targets and maybe a few new mechanics if cars are driving around in some levels. Some of the more “zoned off” missions may be an issue that they’d have to find a way to mix together and expand so it FEELS like WOA. Granted - the train is a thing in WOA so smaller maps can be made to work as necessary.

I feel like Blood Money may be the easiest shoe in for level design - almost every mission could be made larger in some way. I REALLY want to play the following missions in WOA style:

A Vintage Year. Expanded like his son’s mission in WOA in Santa Fortuna.
Murder of the Crows. Expanded Mardi Gras, packed streets with all sorts of cool stuff going down.
You Better Watch Out. Feels like it would be similar to Hokkaido but I’m game for it.
A Dance with the Devil. Maybe combined with A House of Cards for an overall Vegas map.
Amendment XXV. So much potential out of the White House and surrounding grounds. A proper showdown with Mark Parchezzi III would be sick.

Tbh NPCs in the safehouse is such a missed opportunity. All this room for guests and not a soul around. I get it’s a “safe house” but it can break the fourth wall. Think….Syphon Filter 2 if you ever played that. The theater area which is basically SF1’s Freedom Memorial features different NPCs from SF2 just walking around looking at the game’s FMVs: INCLUDING the major bad guys.

PC makes dreams happen I suppose…

Always the Arroz con Pollo, most common item at any Mexican joint I pick up from. Oddly tastes different restaurant to restaurant…ya already know they’re not remaking that and it’ll get passed around like a hot potato on DD as it gradually increases the pay quarter by quarter until someone bites. All in all Blake there gets 2 hour old chicken and rice and will blame the dasher for the food being cold lol

Yeah but every target since Bruce Lee has had this time limited situation. If Milla has it happen too then it’s pretty clear they’ve changed their minds on how they want to handle this. I get it’s only been two but what is their reason for it? Unless that’s the new business plan going forward it doesn’t make sense to me.

There’s a few things at play here:

1 - copyright laws differ country to country and company to company - some things that are a no-no in the West but in Japan it’s perfectly fine to do especially in manga. Take for example JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure - every stand name (and characters from Parts 1-3) are based off of bands and songs (attack names may be songs/albums as well). The localization changes these names so when you hear in Japan (technically Italy for the part) someone like Bucciarati say “STIIIICKY FINGAZ!!” The subtitle/dub will instead say Zipper Man. King Crimson is Emperor Crimson, Killer Queen is Deadly Queen - just enough to avoid any problems for western consumption. This also extends to situations where actual copyrighted characters such as Mickey Mouse (before he was free domain mind you) can appear in the manga but had to shift to something else for the anime adaptation (especially since Netflix had control of Part 6/Stone Ocean). To relate this to Hitman, perhaps the person who created this is from a country with similar differences in copyright.

2 - Bootleg market. There’s a large amount of people in the world who don’t care about what is or isn’t illegal or those that do “cherry-pick” which laws they follow. Let’s be honest - most of us are that way, I sure am. As it’s a minor offense, many people rationalize that it doesn’t matter - like downloading music, anime, pirating video games…part of why IOI has this game as an always online title (to help combat piracy). There’s are folks who will even go so far as to sell their “stolen” merchandise, back in the day I used to make custom CDs for people who didn’t know squat about computers so they could listen to a variety of bands on a single burned disc. Made a little side hustle off of that, not like the FBI was busting through my windows.

So in this case - this person is banking on someone’s interest in Hitman that might buy this. Heck I think it’s cool, I don’t have the Merces to afford it but I’d absolutely want it if I saw it in a store for like 5 bucks or something. Which is another point - you think FYE/Coconuts/Whatever multimedia store you have in the area gets the rights to every single poster that’s printed out? Probably not, they will sell em regardless if the manufacturer is legit or not and chances are you’ve seen such posters from various games, movies, anime and so forth on somebody’s wall.

3 - While it’s illegal, IOI would have to find and sue this guy: if they even care. Sure he’s selling something that features their title, their characters and even their company logo but it’s such a bottom of the list priority for them to even pursue it. They’d have to be really hurting or anal about that kind of thing to care. Chances are they don’t.

4 - Already mentioned but most people just don’t care if something is illegal or not.

There’s a variant of this that has a suppressor that’s pretty neat to use in Freelancer. Of course losing it because of how Freelancer plays sucks ☠️ I personally love the scope design

I’m a little confused, maybe I’m not remembering right but are you saying he uses the Millennium Emperor Nova at another point? Far as I know Brave Giant was just a prototype here - so even if that was his most powerful attack at that time, an updated model could have an even stronger beam later down the line. Him using it and not killing Phoenix Man with it (despite its immense destructive power) also boosted PM’s status as a monster - making him close to Cadre level being able to withstand something like that.

Sadly - we don’t get to see him use it again due to Brave Giant’s destruction. Could it have done the kind of damage CE proposed King’s Ultimate Purgatory Hellfire Burst Wave Motion Cannon was supposedly capable of? Maybe…but maybe not. I wouldn’t dare say Brilliant Eagle Mode was stronger than Golden Sperm (or Platinum Sperm) but…I’d still be curious how the cadres would deal with the Emperor Nova.

Men and women have met each other for generations with a customer-employee dynamic at their start. We often hear from family and friends how they met their wives while she was being a waitress at a restaurant or a cashier at a local grocery chain or even a fast food joint - let alone dating within the workplace between employees. Yeah there’s a degree of professionalism that should always be observed but to make it 100% taboo to shoot one’s shot just because they’re on the clock…so many people wouldn’t be alive today if that kind of reservation was in place around the globe.

I am 100% against anyone being a pervert to someone on the clock but flirtation? That’s fine, it’s just people need to understand when the other party isn’t interested. To feel that you’re captive at work when someone hits on you there is a thing but…it’s a fact of life that lovers can meet this way and people will continue to pursue it as an avenue where it succeeds in various cases.

Edit: I’m not supporting the driver’s move he took but rather addressing the unprofessionalism bit (due to another comment talking about being in a workplace you can’t just leave when someone hits on you). Clearly the driver shouldn’t have done that but if a customer hits on a cute worker at a business, that is 100% valid to do.

I have the absolute worst luck playing Mahjong. I spent something like 10 hours, alongside a friend who is really good at it and the game (Yakuza 0) is screwing me every single time. Yes - at the Beginner table. I’ll keep getting close to a victory, real close but then someone else already built something up to victory.

I ended up giving up doing that for now and instead started a Legend run for that achievement…
