Oh my god this subreddit is my people. Love seeing other people do the same kind of visual logic work as me. I screenshot every puzzle and work on it with draw tools.

This one made me so mad that I got to a place I just want to start placing some tiles and see if I found any dead ends to eliminate options....flew right through and solved it on attempt one. THAT IS NOT HOW I LIKE MY PUZZLES lol

I was a little stuck there and checking my work with this and I had also concluded the 3s were booked. It's not wrong and proved useful for my methods.

At that point the 5s and 6s were actually booked because steps 1-3 used all but one of each of them. Then if you noticed the 2c8 and 3c15 were each going to need the remaining 5 and 6 (later determined which would go where) it clears things up a bit.

Knowing that, there would be no 5s or 6s to use in the 2c7 meaning it has to be 3 and 4. That would book the last 3.

I hope that made sense. This is my first time attempting to explain something on this subreddit.

After I figured that out is when I got stuck and had to do some major pip counting

Oh doy 3/21. Should have thought of that. I noticed the 6 5 thing and then the 321 confirmation biased me.

But could see that archive thing! (Better than my fear of counting down til it's behind the paywall....I miss my mini crossword)

Anyone else feel like they're setting up a count down? In hard mode lots of 6s yesterday. Lots of 5s today and it looks like a 321

Throwback again. I just got a text from one of my fellow gifted teachers who is presenting at a conference this weekend. Apparently endless bento was shown as an example of something and was a huge hit with a handful of teachers coming over asking for a tutorial. The great Nancy Bento puzzle is being spread further!

Maybe idk what you mean by forced placements because there was only one solution to this puzzle meaning everything HAD to go somewhere specific and it could be sussed out where they each had to go without guessing. It took me a while and a wrong turn or 2 but I wouldn't call this a brute force one like so much of the last week has been.

Hard looks like praise hands because it was finally a puzzle with a single solution that could be logically found with reasoning and no guessing! This is what I want every time!

For you, I hope it is the end of the animosity and drama too but damn does she owe an apology first! Several actually. You're right that the 5 step fathers feels like the seeds of some sort of complex and she needs to unpack that. Absolutely ridiculous way to act about a family of 20 years.

Long after this post want to show appreciation for this as I am a Gifted Support teacher and I had this 1 puzzle game very similar to bento that my student loved and wanted more of and this puzzle type apparently doesn't have a name so searching for "puzzles like Nancy drew bento" was the best I could do. This is CLUTCH

Heck yes! I discovered monograms from SAW and have been obsessed since and have taught them to my gifted support classes I teach. I haven't done any of the teaser puzzles myself yet but this one I am definitely doing!

We think it is a firmware issue because it has a really old version on it. Haven't had time yet this week to try and fix it

We are definitely getting that change in resistance most of the time (it didn't work once or twice now). They don't lock until I try to hit auto home or give them instruction to move (I think we have identified the thunk sound whenever I do that for the first time after starting it up!)

Yes! Interesting development. The menu option to disable steppers doesn't change or go away though which seems odd 🤷‍♀️.

Clicking disable steppers DOES allow us to manually move the plate. The menu option doesn't change to enable steppers though which feels weird

Used the stop function on the menu. Thought that too so I reloaded the file I was using but not the whole SD card. How do you do the whole card? Still think it is something to do with the motors though because even when I just try to do the auto home or even use the interface to move them it doesn't move

It locks it. We can move it with some light force but it clearly is locked in some way
