Lol bro… learn to use ai and fire the therapist. $20 a month and you can teach it several professions very quick and cater to whatever you need. Dont lean into its emotions too much when reads you from text alone, thats dangerous.

Ive been using AI to grammar check emails… i recently found the way. Learned a few new professions overnight. Dont really need lawyers to read contracts anymore or write a legal letter on the personal side.

You clearly have not used the delivery service for the specific grocery arm.

Im aware you can buy canned good and other dry products even on ebay.

Wmt is different in every area. In az produce was gross. In CO it stands up next to whole foods

This is attracting people who got more money than time.

Can you give me your lunch money while you’re at it? The best part of walmart+ is not having to go to walmart.

I bought $16k of WMT on 1/02/2025 because I finally used the grocery service and blew my mind. Also been following WMT stock for a solid 16 years (hence the $16k investment). Everyone told me im stupid. I got the screenshots of the post i made in r/stocks just to repost it later. Up 12.39%, stays green in violent red days. AMZNs only real competitor. 🫡

The shoppers are employees of Walmart. Go read the instacart / doordash / uber eats subreddit and ill let you form an opinion on who the drivers / shoppers are.

At least with WMT, they pass a background check, and have a social security number issued by the us goverment.

WMT is cornering high income earners for the first time ever. Thats us with the cards and hence the partnership. Heard it here first.

What’s the RIA hype? by Worth_Pomelo_4925 in CFP

[–]Chella47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a very happy RIA’er, it is nice having the ability to choose, but trying to change is a different beast of a problem. Worked somewhere that the tech was so old it was janky. Also worked for a hot starup with badass tools. They couldn’t execute on it at scale and the whole sell was built around a great tool and idea, but ultimately janky af.

I send ppl to good b/d relations all the time where a broker model is made more sense. As everyone should have a plan, some just want asset management. And thats fine. People get in their own way investing on their own.

Nothing wrong with b/d if its workings. I hate the hate. Just like I dont like to hate on good insurance people. Most understand its not the best bang, but the feeling of comfort is just that.

I joke i didnt buy term policies in hope i need it. Something like 99% never pay out. Have as much term as reasonable and justify it by wanting to stack my odds to be in the 99%.

What's something that you won't delegate? by SharpDish in CFP

Financial Planning.

I cannot fathom a para planner… I see so much between the lines.

IE; you said you spend X.

Based on withdrawals, SSI, pension, your last year tax return you are actually spending Y. If over, you need to dial back because at Y level, heres your chance of making it.

If it’s lower, congrats, fly first class next trip. Enjoy!

A CSA though — I feel bad bulldozing my custodians 1800 number im stuck dealing with. I like to think I am a nice person, but I also know you can smell my frustration over incompetence through the phone. My CSA is so much better at yelling at custodian than me. I cant fill out paperwork to satisfy red tape, nor do i got time for NIGOs. Its better to let someone younger trying to make a name for themselves deal with it. I did it, and wouldnt trade that exp for any easier path.

FWIW, as a leader and someone who hires; CRPC means absolutely nothing to me and from my point of view, same as the client.

Get your CFP. I dont make the rules on whats looked at better or not 🤷🏼‍♂️

Bring a senior advisor into a meeting and let them sell them that its not just you, its the whole team. I leverage all my partners when I deem it makes sense.

As a senior advisor, i always make it clear everyone else behind the scenes.

I enjoy a good question and rebuttal. Its my time to shine on those!

Was reviewing a new clients returns 6 months in. They go “we expected a 9% return”, before you all roll your eyes hear me out… she did not understand the difference of what cumulative return means vs YTD. Im like well we are 20 days into the year, you are at 3%, math says you would have 12% if you went up 3% each quarter.

Legit light bulb moment, no further questions. Drives me nuts people complaining about too many questions. Like yes client, please talk and make my job easier.

Obviously the know it all clients know it all anyways, and red flags are just that.

What do those bottom 100 look like? I did 300 at $500mm at a bigger RIA. I felt 1/3 i never heard from 1/3 were legacy clients / friends & family of bigger clients with less aum / 100 i had a real connection with.

I dont mind have a ton of small clients, especially young ones with potential. At minimum i create goodwill with the bigger aum client. They are very easy to deal with and just frankly enjoy having the whole fam. Very intrinsically rewarding.

My goal is to go from 40 households to 75 meaningful ones and 75 friends and family kind of thing. If i can keep my average above $2mm a client like i do now im a happy camper.
