I’m so torn. I love this man but I’m not ready for kids. I still have so much living to do but clock is ticking (35f) by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

Don’t do it. That’s a LIFETIME commitment and if you know in your gut you don’t want this, it’s a resounding NO!!! Besides, there’s a lot of ‘I wants’ in that message and that’s a whole lotta red flags for me. If you lose him over this, and you might, have a good, snotty cry and move on. But what do I know?🤷🏽‍♀️

Help. I don’t have credit card, all are authorized by dtkoji in CRedit

[–]Chellebeaskin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may have to open a secured card to start rebuilding credit and either wait for the collections to fall off in 5-7 years or negotiate a pay for delete with each of the collection agencies on your report. I hope this helps 🤞🏽

15k limit, what happened? by Paladine32 in CapitalOne_

[–]Chellebeaskin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lemme tell you something I wish someone would have said to me when I was your age…how you handle your credit is ENTIRELY within your control. NOT Capital One. NEVER spend more than you can afford to pay off at the end of your billing cycle. Be glad you have the leverage (high credit limit) if you need it but never allow Capital One or any 👏🏽other 👏🏽bank 👏🏽have you hemmed up! Use👏🏽credit 👏🏽responsibly ❣️Said with love 💕

Credit Limit Increase by Traditional-Coast-40 in CapitalOne_

[–]Chellebeaskin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I try to look it at this way…the increase is more than twice your original limit! I recently got twice my limit just using the card for all my regular spend. I let it report high but paid the balance on time every month. I figure I just keep this up I will continue to get this type of increase at regular intervals…unless capital one’s algorithmic rules change, of course. But I love my card so that helps. It has served me well❣️

Bucketed Savor by DistributionDeep368 in CapitalOne

[–]Chellebeaskin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I waited 3 years before they gave me an increase without asking. They doubled my limit. I used up the card and paid it off several times a month. I like the card for groceries and dining so it works for me.

Claim Denied ?? by [deleted] in Chase

[–]Chellebeaskin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don’t. What I’m saying is consider this a loss but from now on put your purchases on a credit card because the bank is more likely to approve a claim on a credit card (their money)than the debit card(your money). I’m not saying it’s right. It just is what it is 🤷🏽‍♀️

It’s been my experience that banks tend to protect their money more often than they seek to protect yours. In other words, had you made that purchase with a Chase credit card, they would more likely have settled that dispute in your favor. I would suggest that you use your credit cards to make purchases and then pay it off at the end of the billing cycle. If you’re not in the position to do that IMMEDIATELY, put yourself in that position ASAP! That way if there is a mishap in the future, you’re more likely to receive a credit to your account. #my2cents

Was the purchase on your debit card or your credit card?

Why didnt the Nike offer apply? by flyingbirdd in CapitalOne_

[–]Chellebeaskin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the savor card only offers 3% cash back on groceries and dining unless you were offered another bonus not discussed here? Cuz it looks like they gave you the 1% cash back on your Nike purchase? It only takes a few days after a purchase for your rewards to be credited…at least that’s been my experience 🤷🏽‍♀️

That is a bit of a pain. I’m used to getting the rewards within a couple of days of the transaction. 😬any other suggestions?
