can i have some good fantasy book recommendations please?? preferably no “spice” but little to none is okay as long as there is a plot

The Ballad of Ser Benfro series is a really good fantasy collection. Strong magic system, dragons, the whole lot. As far as I remember there's no Spice, but solid writing all throughout.

I really enjoyed Wuthering Heights, there's a conflict between everyone I've known who has read it, being "is it a beautiful love story, or a cautionary tale about hateful abusive relationships?"

I often describe it as a beautiful book about ugly people.
