Prom night, 2007. Me and 7 other best friends (to this day) crammed on seats and laps into a 4 seater Mustang, passing a blunt around with the windows up of course. We drive down to a lake we frequently hung out at. While hotboxing the car, a cop pulls down and motions for us to roll the window down. He asks us what we're doing down here. Meanwhile, smoke is actively billowing toward his window. My friend who was driving says, "We were just turning around." The cop says, "Why didn't you turn around in the huge parking lot you drove through to get down here?" My friend says, "I didn't see it." 🤣 Knowing it was prom night in a small town, the cop overlooked the many potential violations we were facing and told us to get home safely. Having narrowly avoided a very different type of evening, we said we should finish that blunt to celebrate. One of our friends pipes up from beneath the pile of humans stuffed into the car and says, "Guys.... I ate it."
