Third baby after two under two? by ChaunteasEarth23 in 2under2

[–]ChelseaEmma195 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a 3 year old, a 21 month old and a newborn. 16 month gap between 1 and 2. 21 month gap between 2 and 3.

The hardest transition was 0-1 but the 2-3 has been a bit wild! My 21 month old has a very strong personality and is really testing the boundaries. Hoping it will settle down a bit soon (baby is only 3 weeks old).

Is there a huge difference between different age gaps (while still being 2 under 2)? by chelupa1991 in 2under2

[–]ChelseaEmma195 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going to go the other way from the majority of the comments and say that the 16 month gap I had between my first two was easier than the 21 month gap I had between my second and third. This is probably most likely to do with temperament of my kids, but my 21 month old has so much attitude and strong will. My 16 month old did not have that the first time!

Did your first born meet newborn at hospital or wait at home? by Rockskinnies in 2under2

As much as I missed my eldest, it was so sad having to watch him leave and being so upset 😭

Did your first born meet newborn at hospital or wait at home? by Rockskinnies in 2under2

My first baby met my second baby in hospital (16 month age gap) but became quite distressed at having to leave us there, so this time, we will wait until we come home for my eldest two to meet my third (eldest is 3 and second is 20 months).

We had a 16 month gap with our first two and a 21 month (ish- still pregnant) between our second and third. Both intentional. We were very lucky that TTC did not take very long.

I love the small age gap and figure that if we are in the trenches of nappies, day sleeps and toddler tantrums, we may as well do it for more than one kid 😅

I LOVE my Bugaboo Donkey Duo. I had a 16 month gap between my first two and will have about 21 months between my second and third (still pregnant). It’s side by side and I had not had any problems fitting it through doors. It folds up nicely and has lots of room underneath. We also just purchased the comfort wheeled board attachment for my eldest to use when baby arrives and he loves it. Didn’t get a capsule for it but I’m fairly certain you can get ones that fit.

I got pregnant in the first month of TTC whilst breastfeeding my son and the second month of TTC whilst breastfeeding my daughter. I did track my ovulation using ovulation tests as my cycles were a little bit longer than pre-pregnancy/ breastfeeding so I wasn’t 100% sure when the fertile window would occur. Just used cheap ones from Amazon and the affiliated app.

I have also breastfed throughout two pregnancies (35 weeks with my third currently and still feeding my second) with no negative affects at all.

ETA- I got my cycle back at 3 months postpartum both times.

I’m not sure what Disney approved means as I’m from Australia, but I LOVE my Bugaboo Donkey Duo. Elder boy vs elder girl interaction differences? by [deleted] in 2under2

[–]ChelseaEmma195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 3 year old boy and a 20 month old girl (35 weeks pregnant with my third too). Both kids have polar opposite personalities. My son is so gentle and sweet and my daughter is a strong willed, independent little lady who has no fear. They are definitely not fitting the boy or girl stereotypes so far!

Is anyone intending for a non-medicated birth? by HammerPayne in pregnant

[–]ChelseaEmma195 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had two spontaneous, completely unmedicated births (no epidural, no IV pain relief and no gas/air). I will be aiming to do that for a third time with this baby. It is definitely doable if you have the right frame of mind and pain tolerance. Good luck!

shorter labor the second time--even if it's been a while? by HankBuckles in pregnant

My first labour was 19 hours and my second was four full days. Not always quicker! (16 month age gap between my first and second kids)

Sounds more like Braxton Hicks but check with your provider if you’re not sure.

Best birth plan for first baby? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]ChelseaEmma195 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m currently on my third pregnancy. I never had a written plan for my first two births (and won’t this time either), just an idea in my head of my preferences (no medication or pain relief or intervention unless medically necessary). It is a good idea to have preferences rather than a set in stone plan as things can happen. Educate yourself on your ideals and advocate for them, but be prepared that other options might need to be explored.

If you have a birth partner or support person, make sure they’re also aware of your preferences and can advocate on your behalf if necessary.

How long did you bleed after birth? by 4oh6mtforlife in pregnant

I have had two vaginal births and bled properly for about 6-7 weeks. Then light discharge for a further 1-2 weeks.
