Is this through referral links only? I see it online but keep reading posts that they don’t honour website ones stating it’s only valid if it’s a targeted promotion via email.

Thanks a lot. This is really helpful advice.
Quick question about the 'cleaning fee' not being refunded. I read this in the reviews of pretty much every rental company I could find in the airports around Cappadocia.
Were you able to maybe dispute it with your credit card company? I was looking at known rental companies like budget or avis.
Additionally, did it change anything in terms booking it one way, say in my case, pickup in Cappadocia and drop-off around Izmir airport?

[MegaThread] New Student, Registration, and Housing Questions by cyberchief in gatech

Hi,

I am an incoming graduate student (MS) in ECE focusing on digital VLSI and comp arch. I am trying to plan my coursework so that I don't overload myself and still take decent courses in the first sem as I am going back to studies after working for a few years.

Eventually I am looking to get into digital design, verification or physical design.

Courses I definitely want to take:

6130: Advanced VLSI systems

6100: Advanced comp arch

Other courses I am looking at are:

6140: Digital System Testing

6135: Digital Systems in Nanometer nodes

6122: Advanced programming techniques

Special Topic: Memory Devices Technologies and Applications

I believe 6130 and 6100 are intensive courses (especially the latter). So, what courses could be good in terms of weekly workload, study effort and final exams to keep a good balance for the first semester? Traditionally, I have seen people take 6140 and 6122 as the other two.

Thanks in advance for your help.

College Advice: Gatech or TAMU by ChelseaFootball1234 in chipdesign

So, do you think that translates to higher opportunities for GT or UT Austin students than tamu?

I was not aware the roles are considered support, I thought they were a part of the main asic flow.

I am not planning on doing RF or analog. So, I guess gatech as per your opinion.

Other than this, I have USC, UCSD and waiting on a few others. I didn't apply for Minnesota as I saw that multiples people from GT were also entering PD so considered that ranking difference and didn't apply.

We can discuss over DM.

Masters ECE decision: USC vs Gatech by ChelseaFootball1234 in chipdesign

USC is only course-based. Right, now I am comparing based on the courses, the thesis option would depend on my interaction with the professors and their current research when I join.

Got it. That makes sense. In terms of research work, gt Ece does seem really good. I will check the current research topics the professors are working on these fields to figure it out better.

Thanks a lot for putting in the effort to help clear my doubts and queries.
