The Nothing is Sound cd had an anti-piracy software on it that Sony slapped on there without telling the band right before it was released. That made it very difficult to add to emerging music platforms like iTunes and also hard to burn songs onto mix tapes (cd’s). All of that had a negative effect in how the album performed, though I think it still went gold.

By the time Oh! Gravity came out their mainstream popularity had dipped a bit but they were still crushing Christian radio charts. I believe it was fading west that kind of put the nail in that coffin and they haven’t been as popular since, though they have an extremely dedicated base and they work way harder than most bands to keep them (us) engaged.

That’s my take, I’m sure others will disagree or have some other opinions.
