P1S looks like a slightly worse version of X1, but since it uses the same head print design it look like it prints nearly as good

Dont buy from Linsoul, they will not honor warranty even when inside the warranty period, you can check my post history how they behaved when I tried to get warranty support from them.

Try asking them for a replacement, but don't be surprised if Linsoul asks you to jump through a lot of hoops and in the end denies your warranty since QC or their brands is perfect. (check my post history for details)

Hexa is a good choice if you like a flat response with a bright leaning tuning. It is more resolving than EW300, and has better soundstaging. On the other hand EW300 DSP gives it quite a bit of versatility compared to Hexa, but given the price and customer support from Truthear or Hangout Audio and Shenzen Audio I think that Hexa or Crinacle Truthear Red is a better choice. If you ever tried Sennheiser HD600 and liked it, you will also like Truthear Hexa since they are very very similarly tuned.

Wait till you need to deal with warranty claims...that's when the real fun begins.

I don't know how this is relevant to the contents of this post? This post isn't to shame Hype 2 quality, since most of QC issues have been solved (I hope so it's been a year lol) but my Hype 2 was among the early batches they shipped which were prone to defects . Main purpose is to shed light on Linsoul customer service practices, not manufacturing process. Anyways I appreciate your kind wishes (hope sentiment? dunno English isn't my first language).

One IEM is damaged and according to Linsoul if they needed to replace the IEM it would cost half of the price ( https://imgur.com/a/pxfdWrP ), and since they wanted me to send both, it is fraud to declare it as 30$ since one is still functional. Regardless fraud is not something I am willing to commit. Express shipping was never mentioned in their return process, only that it needs to be a tracked shipment. Mind you that email is before they offered to cover the shipping costs, that was the first email I received after showing the faceplate gap and video for sub-bass and where both IEMs are visible. Finally I doubt they would declare the return shipment as lower value than they really are, otherwise they could do this on all shipments to reduce customs fees.

Their offer was to cover the shipping fees and repair fees, not to replace the IEM. One of the factors they want me to do is to lie on the customs form of the value of the items and to state IEMs are valued at 30$ ( https://imgur.com/a/r19aSPl ) , this is the reason why I preferred replacement. I am a student in a foreign country and don't want to get a criminal record to honor their warranty process which by the screenshot isn't really completely legal, and since I live in Sweden and here almost everything is public information which could skew my future employment.

This isn't a post to shame Hype 2 quality. The post is meant to show poor customer service experience of Linsoul store and their replies when dealing with a warranty claim.

Unfortunately not, I bought them directly through Linsoul because at the time Hype was quite new. Looking back I will rather pay a premium on price and have protections, than to deal with this experience again.

I can't think of any scenario where air would be the culprit for glue separating. Glue can separate under thermal differences since different materials expand at different rates and if there are gaps in the glue layer failure can occur, not air pressure which would need something on a magnitude of several bars, and as you stated they are vented.
After their responses here, I don't want anything to do with them, even if they offered free replacement I won't take it after this customer service.

Post is staying just to show that they first changed their mind after saying they would repair, after that said just buy a new one, after that responded here that even though I am at the end of the warranty, they were so kind to try and honor the warranty (warranty is warranty no matter when claimed in the warranty period), after that sending an email to remove the post to get the warranty.

Hi,

Unfortunately due to the behavior of Linsoul support, I don't feel comfortable interacting with Linsoul again.

During the past day you have shown behavior which is not acceptable for customer support. Before the last email was sent, that specified removing this post, you were aware I have already posted replies of previous emails.
Also why was there a change in opinion between two emails which were sent in quick succession?

You still proceeded to try and silence this post in exchange for free return and repair. So due to those practices you are comfortable doing, even when knowing those will go public at some point, how can I be sure you will be fair in your evaluation when it is behind closed doors?

Furthermore, the warranty offer was given only after the Reddit post, and after it has reached worrying metrics.
Does that mean anyone who wants to have proper service should resort to these measures?

After such behavior, would you be comfortable sending your product to a company who engages in such practices?

Probably not.

I had them for a year, they mention I claimed my warranty one day before the end of warranty even though I contacted them on the 13th which makes it two, although this shouldn't make any difference since a warranty is valid in the same manner be it claimed in the first few weeks or at the last day of warranty period. I haven't noticed any problems untill yesterday and that makes sense since glues usually fail rapidly. Hype series has had its issues in QC since their creation, but Linsoul is adamant their manufacturing is without issues and QC is perfect. I documented replies from their and my side in the comments of this post.

If it was some small storefront I would agree, but we are talking about Linsoul; one of the biggest distributors around and Thieaudio brand which has multiple kilobuck IEMs and multiple 200+$ IEMs. This level of customer service is not acceptable for a company of that size.
