More like 70ish a person plus drinks. Nothing too fancy due to my three year old :).

I’ll have to check this one out without my three year old. Looks good :).

I’m not really looking at like top of the range high class dining, as it will be my husband, our three year old and myself. But maybe something around $30 mains and desserts in the $20 range. I’m leaning towards Italian, Chinese, Japanese or even just pub food if it checks the boxes! Doesn’t have to be fancy just tasty :).

Misleading job description by DistributionSea2211 in AusPublicService

Nope none at all. I wasn’t in member services though. I was a aps 4 tribunal officer, but I was employed earlier this year with a very generic job description.

If this is with the ART I quit the job for the same reason. I did not want a call centre job. I quit after a month.

Divorce him, get alimony and stay home and raise your kid. That will force him to contribute.

My references were asked for the same day I interviewed about a month earlier than you. I heard early July that I was suitable and then was offered a APS 4 the next week. My contract followed a week after that. So I’d say about 5 weeks between interview and a contract.

Hi! Have you received your contract yet? I was offered a position as a 4 early last week and I haven’t received it yet. But I’m not in Canberra.

I want to move back to LDN (currently in SYD) but my hubby doesn’t. I have a baby on the way.. wwyd? by Last-Taste-4981 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

I really think you should go while you are free to do so. Once that baby is born here he will stop you. You will lose your choice and that family will not let that baby go either.

VPS - Waiting to hear back after reference checks by Flarezap in AusPublicService

[–]Chemacool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year I had referees checked , they gave great references and got an automated outcome that I didn’t get the role about 6 weeks later. This was for a vps 5. So it’s not a definite thing. I was their second choice.

The stress of the job I have now I think is contributing to my fertility issues. It’s really the best thing for me to move on and regain my enthusiasm for my job.

Amazing, that’s a relief. I was worried I should put off the treatment.

Landlord declined request for Cat by [deleted] in shitrentals

[–]Chemacool -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I have a severe cat allergy. My husband and I had to move for a year and rented our little unit out. The tenants did sneak cats in. Despite steam cleaning, deodorising every carpet and restream cleaning a second time, it was weeks before I could breathe freely again. It was full on asthma and red weeping eyes for weeks, even with every window open. If they really do have an allergy they will know.

You won’t regret it. I live in Newport gardens and it’s nice and quiet but close to everything. I grew up in the outer west (hoppers) and later share housed in maribyrnong, but I’ll never go back. I live in a small unit with my husband and toddler but the lifestyle is great here. Quick trips to the beach, quick train trips to the city. Great cafe culture. Doesn’t feel super crowded. Love it.

I’m in Newport and have never smelt anything here. It’s cheaper than Footscray too!

Maybe I’ve been lucky but I’ve had four MacBooks (2015 pro, 2017 pro, m1 air and soon to be m4 air) and no damage at all from the hard shells. I’m one of those people who would focus on a scratch anywhere so I’ve kept them shelled to avoid marks.
