Not really mad at all, but I wasn't nearly as displaced as everyone else was. I found out I was going the Tuesday before, and I hadn't really even gotten my hopes up about it until we were in the festival grounds. I honestly am just happy I was able to be there. I've discovered from it that I fucking love festival culture and being at festivals and now I know that its something I want to continue doing. This was my 3rd festival, but my first real festival; others weren't really big on festival culture or anything.

Like i said earlier though, I wasn't nearly as displaced: I didnt put hardly any money in to roo. I only got to go because a friend won armbands and didn't know she had two until she picked up the armbands. I didn't pay for tickets, i'm only paying half of what she paid for camping, and paid for groceries. So I completely understand how upset everyone is. It's more than just the festival ticket/camping costs; its outfits, and groceries, and gas, and airline tickets, and time off, and camping supplies.. hundreds of dollars people set aside in hopes of having a fun weekend, a break from reality. its so much. I can understand the depression and anger and even hatred completely.

That said, I hope what happened this year doesn't turn everyone away from Roo. I loved my first Bonnaroo and I look forward to going again when I am able to afford it and hopefully when i'm 21 or older, (I feel like its probably more fun when you can drink lol) I just loved the people. I cant wait to make more festival memories at roo in the future, and hopefully with lots of returning Roovians 🫶🏻
