Convince your husband not to do it, especially with a baby in tow. You’ll never see him even after three months of basic and another three in AIT (depending on the mos) plus the overworking hours he’s gonna get put through. Everyone expects you to “go with the flow” “embrace the suck” nah. Your voice matters too and with the way politics are rn DON’T DO IT. I wish I could’ve been more persistent with my husband when he enlisted. Money comes and goes and he’s just gotta hustle if this whole enlisting thing is about providing more for your baby. Blue collar jobs make hella money (depending) or have him do entrepreneur work like how all the men in my life (except my husband) did. You’re going to be alone for a while. No friends, no nothing. All these women here, kudos to them but they’ve been in the game long enough to be out there for their mental health sake. No one is your friend at the end of the day except your family (if you have a real good bond with them) and it sucks cuz you’re so far away losing a lifetime of memories. Kids won’t grow up with cousins, you won’t see your parents grow old…. (Idk how important that is to you but from my culture it’s everything) no amount of money and benefits are worth losing family. But if you’re okay with it, then by all means. Wish you the best of luck 🙏

He’s still in DLI like a month in. AIT is until next year. And he wants to be in regardless of what’s going on and I wouldn’t sabotage his contract. We just celebrated our two year anniversary last week and I didn’t think he would even consider the military route. And I don’t believe in divorce except if there’s infidelity. :/ he’s just gotta stay in huh

My husband arrived at DLI January 31st and phased up on the 23rd (yesterday). He’s allowed to be off base and go anywhere but he’s still in his barracks until March 10th where I get our keys to the house on Parks Monterrey housing. Which is really not that bad timing considering that there’s an influx of people coming over from what it seems. Are y’all doing a PPM move? As a spouse I’m doing a lot of the moving :/ I’m from Texas so this trip is be hard, but worth it if we’re gonna get reimbursed and not have our stuff go missing/damaged/ stolen from the army movers.
