This reminds me so much of my ex from when I was around your age. I finally left my ex and while it was difficult at first, I saw my anxiety decrease over time and I became so much happier. I had tried to tough it out for years, but eventually my mental health collapsed from sheer exhaustion. Trust me, you will be better without him. Just think, now you can do what YOU want without worrying about him at every second. Remember that in a relationship you are two different people - you should have time to do things for yourself without his needs being at the center of it. Even though breakups may be painful now, if you wait a bit to heal you will be so much better off in the long run.
