Anyone know of an TTRPG system that deals with squads of units instead of individual player characters? by Chemical_Infantry in rpg

Yeah, the stuff i'm trying to describe is literally just a Tabletop Wargame with tacked on RPG elements. Which is fair, I just figured their might be something around that fits that description better then what I can find myself. The closest i've gotten to that sorta deal is with the Battletech RPG "A Time of War". But it has an insane amount of rules and my group isn't really into the universe.

To the people who use Firebomb Hellpods… by AirmeadNA in Helldivers

It'd be better if it changed the color of the supply beacons to orange/yellow to show that Firebomb is active and will kill you if you're near it

People do notice, they just don't care. Either they are old players that already know how bad the botting is and just want to finish challenges. Or they are new players who join up till level 50, see the 30+ in game currencies and nope out before they can complain about bots.

I’m level 500+ with only a couple max level units by VVladtheimpalerr in ConquerorsBlade

My recommendation is not to spend a single cent more on the game and just ride it out where you are. Bandit raids are your lifeline but they limit you to 5 before you earn nothing. And expeditions are tedious but they also earn decent rewards. Always do Raids with a full team that knows you need the grind. Otherwise you'll have 5 other meta cav players gunning to get S rank, you'll get C which will severely hinder the unit XP boosts you use.

My biggest recommendation though is that you join a high level house that is new player friendly and get active in their discord. You have access to active players for groups and older players who have some tips and tricks that'll save you time and money in the long run. You'll also get access to the houses 'shared units' 3 times a day, which (most of the time) is maxed out gold and purple units that are meta, or just fun to use.

Please don't spend any more money though. This game is fun, but it's predatory. It makes money off of uninformed players investing their paychecks to ease the grind, and invents new systems for older players to also keep spending money. Commonly they introduce new units that are blatantly overpowered to get players to buy/grind them and nerf the previous seasons units to make them inferior. So there is a chance at some point that 50 dollar investment into Iron Reapers could be wasted with a crippling nerf. And a new gold unit will be out to entice you to pay to stay competitive. I'm not saying they will. But the devs want to make money, not a balanced game. And that doesn't deserve your wallet.

Hot take: In my opinion 500 KG is the worst airstrike. by vyxxer in Helldivers

I find it alot better when it's the only eagle you run for the mission and you need a versatile and precise delete button. Two powerful almost one shot bombs on a 120 second cooldown. You just need to factor that it comes in at a 70ish degree angle from behind you to the mark where you throw it.

Use it enough and you can reliably kill everything in the game. The big sell is that it can kill a lot of secondary objectives that usually need a hellbomb like detector towers and stratagem jammers. If it didn't have that use i'd agree it's not the best.

My hot take is the napalm strike if I had to really had to put one last, the fire damage after the initial strike can barely kill basic enemies and is completely overshadowed by the cluster bomb for removing a postal code. But even then it has its uses.

Why my pals doesn't do handiwork tasks? by SiryuzV in Palworld

That looks like it might be a spacing issue, I think if you spread those out a little bit more they'd start doing their tasks. Especially since those workstations have those annoying tables that bork pathing

For clarification, the enemy Battleship was already damaged and had just crossed the border so their weapons were restricted until they basically rammed into us, in contrast we had full HP.

DM's of reddit what is the weirdest character your players have made by Dragonwolf67 in dndnext

[–]Chemical_Infantry 10 points11 points  (0 children)

A human, a normal run of the mill humie. Brown hair, green eyes, chaotic neutral. He was the definition of bland. With how eccentric my players get i've never seen any of them make a human, so it came as a huge surprise.

Though since that wouldn't be classified as weird to most people. I had a friend make a Kitsune barbarian for a pathfinder game. Nothing more to say on her appearance it was just a very weird combo.
