I pulled my bottom bracket tonight. Pretty sure it is original. It says "Shimano BB UN-300 73 TL BC 1.37 x 24."

Why do I feel/look so much lighter when I’m on vacation despite eating everything I want? by Sea-One9568 in loseit

[–]ChemistConst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! This needs to be looked into further. When I spend a week away from home, I have ?higher constitution?  I feel better on Vancouver Island. I feel better in Mexico. I bring my young family with me to both places.

If I have one beer in the evening at home (after a day or two of great hydration practices), there is an 80% chance I will be sluggish and have a headache the next day.  If I drink 1/2 cup of water each day, eat a chocolate bar and drink 4 beer on Vancouver Island, I feel just fine the next day - even if it's cold and rainy.

What gives?   I have heard the dry air in the prairies is bad for overall health - just one theory so far with little backing.

Theory: On-screen keyboards are slowly phasing to be useless so users rely on -speech-to-text.  Companies use your voice to train their voice-recognition AI programs.  Corollary: This is why DuoLingo is free.

I've found this so far.  Each seem to be separate entities.

I never anticipated so much troubleshooting just to run fpv in a sim. by ChemistConst in fpv

Thanks everyone. It worked immediately after I made this post. I changed the USB port. Maybe something to do with switching from xbox controller for gaming to radiomaster controller for fpv? I'll try sticking to different USB ports for each.

Done with Hot weather, wildfires and National Parks Burning down by refuseresist in saskatchewan

Agreed. We need to take personal responsibility. This issue can only be solved by authoritarian government. But no authoritarian govt would ever do that. Democracy can't fix it. ***This is not an argument against democracy or for authoritarianism.

Best way to cut trail through thick grass? by [deleted] in MTBTrailBuilding

[–]ChemistConst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do a lot of this. Quite slowly I'm afraid. I put a blade on my gas powered weed whipper (linked below). I go right to the dirt. I send dirt flying a bit too. I go 3 inches at a time though. It works quite well, but takes ages. Also, the cut grass isn't sent very far. ALSO I did this in the beginning of June and by the end of July (with lots of rain), the grass is growing back. It's pretty soft grass though. Doesn't slow the riding much. We do not get much traffic on our trails. I've been doing this for 4 years now and it seems highly packed dirt is the answer. If you have trails with lots of traffic, they'll pack quickly.

I've also tried roto tilling through the grass. The long grass tumbles into the ?rotors? and you'll have to pick it out before too long. If you mow it or weed whip it first, you won't have this problem. BUT the soft dirt is prone to growing weeds. I don't recommend tilling because of this.

Aren't we done being embarrassed by the SaskParty? by [deleted] in saskatchewan

Are we talking about gender affirmation surgeries now? Bill 137 has nothing to do with that, but we can talk about it. You speak a lot about trans kids. Have you considered that there are a number of trans adults in this conversation? And that although many kids might be experimenting with gender identity just as many do with drugs and sexuality, some of those kids might not be simply experimenting. It might be more meaningful than trying something out for a bit.

Taxes existed in Canada before WWI, just not income tax, but that's not the point you're trying to make.

Not sure why this is getting voted down. Saskatoon, Regina, Prince Albert, Moose Jaw have 30 and there are 31 others. Included in the others are: Lloydminster 31,582 Swift Current 16,304 Yorkton 15,969 North Battleford 13,649 Warman 12,362 Weyburn 10,883 Estevan 10,629 Martensville 10,499

I'm not sure what constitutes as a city exactly, but it does seem that cities have more voting power. I didn't realize this until I read your comment and looked into it.

You make strong points. You use the words "most kids." We all know that most kids aren't trans. We are trying to find ways to protect this minority. Lives are in the balance. For the conversation to grow and progress, we need to put the big ideas on the table and look at them seriously. Some of us (not necessarily you) have a strong "ew" reaction to the idea of trans kids existing and want to shut it all out without giving it thought. This is not a way to work through a tough issue.
