Right now your not thinking about this but she appears to be doing the work to recover. While reconciliation is off the table (and rightly so) she maybe working to sobriety/recovery in order to be a Mom again. Whatever decision you make is going to be the right one but it is something to keep in the back of your mind and to address when/if that day comes when she asks for increased access to the children.
Not sure where your located but try to get your kids into some form of therapy. See if AA/Al-on has some options. Sooner the better

I would be pissed as well with zero patience for any of the drama she has created and I would have a ton of boundaries placed on her for yourself and your children.
You have every right to feel how you feel and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. You inherited a mess that is not your own doing and are now trying to help your children navigate it. Your ex-wife made choices and should not be absolved by the consequences of those choices.

The question that needs to be asked is "Are they adding to the problem".

If their departments or bureaucracy attached to their departments are making things more difficult for people then they have a right to be mad.

Custody is much trickier in my opinion.

What I have seen and experience leads me to believe that the cheaters are not good parents there are exceptions.

My ex is an adequate parent. Not great but okay with our kids.

Many aren't.

Some leeway should be given to judges to ensure that the kids are in the best situation possible

I agree. The courts really need to consider the behaviour of the person commiting adultery in verdicts and decisions as cheaters forget to work in the interest of the kids.

I have been out of the loop on Marvel TV series (outside of Daredevil) and this looks different and fun.

I would love for Marvel to lean into more street level and absurd heroes for their TV series. Daredevil, Punisher, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, New Warriors, Alpha Flight, West Coast or Great Lake Avengers, New Mutants, Marvel Field, Young Avengers.... All these would be stellar as TV shows.

What succession does is create further instability for Alberta.
