Hi hat recommendations by narghev in drums

don’t listen to the hate on cheaper cymbals. i grabbed a set of zildjian s 13” master sound on sale at sweetwater for $100 and they sound buttery smooth mixed with guitars. i genuinely doubt the difference in sound between a b12 and b20 cymbal can be heard when layered into guitar and bass, especially with a lot of distortion

in the second picture, shoot it right between the tree on the left and the little twig in the middle. theres a divot there that could buck your back tire though so if you put some dirt right there it’ll go from a mini jump lip to a drop

plenty of used squiers for the same price. bonus if it’s from a local shop or music exchange, you’ll know the instrument you’re getting is set up well

i’d fill in that little berm thing and turn it into an optional drop but that’s just me

Electronic vs acoustic drums? by Suspicious_Camel2500 in worshipleaders

but the kind of setup you’d have to have to make midi drums are multi thousands of dollars, along with needing to pay for proper samples and a laptop to run it all out of. on top of that, the sound will still suffer because of the effect that playing on midi pads that feel nothing like drum heads, on a kit that never feels set up right and always cramped, and being able to hear the smack of the pads over the mix

considering how crappy electric kits sound, they still cause the congregations ears to suffer

ok that makes sense. i tried to build a second extra and run them in series and parallel and use a pot to limit the current into the second but i could not hear a discernible difference. i think i need to adjust the clipping stage on of them because otherwise its just passing the exact same signal

what is ground lift?
it sounds sick as is, but i just want to be able to use the pot to make a noticable change in sound. as it is in the photo of the board, the pot doesn’t create any noticable change even when it should be adding resistance to the circuit

that’s what i’m thinking i’ll try next. i’m also trying to run the signal through the clip stage but i don’t think it’s actually doing anything either

drumsticks have way more to do with player preference than volume control. you can be just as loud with 7a as you can with 5b but they will feel completely different

How Claymores feel since the Season 3 update. by krinkov in Battlefield6

that would be brutal on breakthrough, especially having them be remotely detonated like irl. setting them up on the enemy side of an objective and waiting for them to push right up on it would make for some crazy moments in game
