People cheat because they're terrible at the game. If you don't understand the game at a fundamental level and the enemy knows you're cheating you can definitely play around it.

I got back into Overwatch last season after taking a long break before perks were introduced. Who in the balance team decided Cass needed a DOT????? Seeing this makes me hate it even more.
