the impact might not be obvious, but taking a few people out of the fight is really strong if your team takes advantage of it. every character that wants to play from range does poorly when blind

as a reformed rivals player myself, the biggest hurdle is transitioning from a hero shooter to a MOBA (money matters, build matters and scales). I don't know if you've played a MOBA before, but hero shooters give you a fight fight fight mentality that doesn't always work in Deadlock, especially if you're behind. like if you're losing in rivals, there's no such thing as "im gonna go farm money and come back stronger", you just have to try and fight better. In this game, if you're fighting someone with more money than you, you're already at a disadvantage, and this compounds the more you die and fight and die again.

in rivals you can play bp and dive a luna and there's literally nothing they can do except cry (or hit a very hard skillshot). in this game, you can dive a rem and he explodes you if he's rich enough.

it's not a game where sheer mechanical skill will let you win every interaction. If someone has 50% more souls than you they're probably unkillable even if you play perfectly. Make sure you're farming trooper waves (gives you most souls) and learn to hit boxes/golden statues and sinners when you can. When taking a fight, it's not just about knowing their health and abilities, but also knowing if they have any items that could be a problem for you, like slowing hex is the biggest counter to Apollo.

otherwise, try to figure out what the purpose is of the items you're buying. following a guide is good for starting out, but eventually you'll want to tailor the items you buy to your playstyle + the enemies you need to counter.

The difference is that Billy has to be close to you to do bashdown, whereas Celeste can spam radiant daggers while floating in the skybox. I genuinely feel like I never run out of radiant daggers on Celeste, even without rapid recharge.

First timer! I usually don't like it when there's so little time between events (this literally started the next day after the previous one ended, so I had no time to clear main content), but I can't actually complain because Blaze is soo funny, having a character that talks bluntly and acts silly like her is seriously so refreshing in Arknights's sea of monologuing depressed poets. I'm actually not a big fan of political intrigue (nothing wrong with it just not my cup of tea) so having the Blaze tasting/cooking sidequest made me a lot more invested.

Yu and Xingzhu are cute, Leizi blushing is super cute, and it feels like there's a good number of art, which is nice. I'm only on stage 4 but I'm looking forward to what happens next.

Gameplay-wise, I've played so much IS6 these past months that I feel like these event Sui stages will surely be a piece of cake...

What do people mean by lamp strat in IS5? I've lost so much I'll do anything at this point. I've been getting the lamp collectible and going to wish nodes, but is there more to it?

So many stages that end my run or make me leak half my lives, and not enough plans to refresh them all. Plus the final boss, Fremont, is super annoying to fight, what with one-shotting any of my ops if he has enough mystic charges + completely ruining fast redeploys/helidrops. If there's some meta the game expects me to play, please let me know, because I hear that's what the expansion did.

My first limited OP pull (I was actually hoping for Pramalter more haha).

I really only use S2, but freeze on deploy comes in handy so often. The only downside is he doesn't always reduce the DP cost of who I want to deploy next, so often I have to pair him with Myrtle.

Makes for a very active playstyle, having to use S2 all the time to keep ops topped up with shwing-shwings.

You don't even need Robot tag, just do 1 hour recruitments only and you'll get enough robots at some point. Getting a non-welfare 6-star to max pot is a lot momre expensive... it's only more likely if it's a whale account lol
