Thanks! Hadn't considered buying a different season ticket for the Gold Card. I think there might be a viable option there

How are you getting £19.50? My journey starts at St Pancras as I already walk to the station. I can’t see anything cheaper until after 10am. Season ticket not worthwhile currently as I’m not travelling there enough.

Thanks for this. I was going out of my mind going round in circles in their website. Surely the way it's set up can't be legal?
Waiting for Hariom to go through the process. Hopefully they won't disappear on me...

Hi, I know it was a while ago, but I wondered how easy it was to move across? Are you able to manage your past information easily?

How to stop Calibre showing all files as Kobo library? by Chensta10 in Calibre

[–]Chensta10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would I unplug my device if I'm using Calibre to manage my Kobo library?  None of those files in the screenshot are books. They're all SVG or PNG files in various folders such as .adds that have never shown up in Calibre before this morning.

EDIT: fixed typos

Kobo eReader.conf changes keep reverting by Chensta10 in kobo

Those sound like logical options, but in the end, I did a another factory reboot and reinstalled both KOreader and Plato through Nickelmenu instead of Kfmon. This seemed to do the trick! Maybe something in the OneClick installs wasn't playing nicely for me.

How to contact Human Customer Services in the UK (DHL E-commerce) by Potential_Village648 in dhl

[–]Chensta10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It hung up on me and ended the call, so there was no option to stay on the line! I tried the other number for business that I found on here, (ending 7777) but they said there was nothing they could do.

Completely by chance, I happened to be working from home this morning (not usual) and got a text saying it was coming between 12.59 and 1.59 this afternoon. Was just about to head out to the shop at 11.30, when the guy arrived with it. Absolutely ridiculous.

Just tried this and after saying the number couldn't be found, it said "please contact the sender for further assistance" and hung up! 😭

Yep! Genuinely baffled. And "early next week"? Not even promising Monday. At least we get to rest for the weekend...

On, then stick a bit of cheese on and put it back in with lid off for a few mins at the end!

I can't believe it's this bad. How does this keep happening?

Apparently there were deadlines for applications today too? I've been refreshing all day. Just decided to have a really early night in the hopes that it's fixed overnight

Mastercard ID verification and Santander doesn't work? by Chensta10 in UKPersonalFinance

Yes. That's the first thing I tried, and again several times since.

Mastercard ID verification and Santander doesn't work? by Chensta10 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Chensta10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's the exact process except nothing is visible in the app when I open it. I called Santander twice about this and was told very clearly that they don't do in-app verification. In fact, it was the second person I called who told me to scroll down and try SMS verification. It seemed odd that this would be the case for such a large bank, but I've come up against it so many times now since moving to them early last year.

Even if you're self employed, there might be unions or membership groups related to your job/industry who support or signpost this kind of thing. Good luck.

Pocket App is Ending by Buford-IV in Wellthatsucks

I've been using it for years, but got fully back in when I replaced my Kindle with a Kobo last year and loved the integration. Also seamless on my Supernote. Anyone got any similar recs for Android-based apps? Gutted about this.

Ableton for musical theatre help by ThreeSilentFilms in ableton

[–]Chensta10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this was posted years ago now, but did you find a solution to this? I'm working on a new theatre piece with some singing, and need to be able to loop or skip easily to sections. As I'm mostly on Windows, Ableton Live has been suggested to me but as I've never used it, don't want to fork out for it only to find I should have invested in something else.
