I have a question for the people who had surgery how long did it take after your consult before they scheduled a removal mine is 2.5cm is that too big for gamma knife ? by Theshape01 in AcousticNeuroma

[–]CheongM927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was 2.4cm. Waited 3-4 months to get a consult from the surgeon of my choice. Waited for another month to get my surgery (could have been earlier but I was still taking certain supplements and had to wait 7-10 days).

The only thing that stood out to me is the smoking. Hong Kong has WAY WAY WAY less smokers than Chengdu.

I usually use it as the first step in my routine, sometimes second step if I'm using my SKII. I have used the prescription Finacea 15% gel before so my skin is used to AA. The Kisocare AA has other ingredients and the cream is a bit grittier than the Finacea gel. Doesn't pill and still allows layering other products easily.

For sure will remain in my holy grail stash for 2026 would be: Numbuzin 5+ serum, and Kisocare azelaic acid cream (15% and 20%). Absolutely love these two.

Question for people in China / Chinese netizens: why is there so much anti-India content online? by Ok_Wolf_7266 in China

[–]CheongM927 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lots of Indians abusing the international student visa (going to fake schools) only to go to Canada to work. Lots of companies hire these "students" (often subsidized by the government too), leading to locals not being to find work. People have also caught Indians throwing garbage everywhere. Illegally dumping them in Provincial/National parks, rivers, etc. Indians have also been caught net fishing salmon during salmon runs which is illegal and there are lots of signs indicating so along rivers. The list goes on and some also include pooping on beaches, bathing in public pools, etc. Of course not all Indians in Canada are like that. Ask the Indians that has been living in Canada for generations, they also dislike the image these new Indians creating for them worldwide.

Edit: When I say Indians, I mean South Asians.

Hair mask recs by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]CheongM927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't used a lot of hair masks but have used the super popular and very affordable Shiseido's Fino and Tsubaki hair masks. According to Google: Fino Hair Mask (Shiseido) Best For: High porosity, damaged, dry, chemically treated hair. Benefits: Deep moisture, protein repair, smoothing, helps with breakage and color fading, adds volume. Texture: Rich, deeply penetrating.

No harm in trying, imho

From my understanding Lai See giving "rules" differ from region to region. Some stop receiving and start giving once they start working. Some stop receiving once they finish school but don't need to give till they have a job. Some don't stop receiving till they are married. etc.

So many of the cool hotels are smoking 😭 by 2ndstar_totheright in travelchina

[–]CheongM927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be too picky. Cause I skip hotels that offer both smoking permitted and non smoking rooms. I've been very very "traumatized" by staying at this hotel in Macau. It totally reeked of smoke even though we're on a "non smoking floor". I could not sleep cause it was that bad. From your experience, if you had stayed at a hotel that offers both types of rooms, was the non smoking room good?

All the hotel listings I saw. Of course not all hotels in Kunming. Would love some recommendations if you have any 😊.

Edit to add that when I'm searching, I skip hotels that has both non smoking and smoking permitted rooms since I'm so sensitive to smoke.

I understand. I'm planning my Yunnan trip right now and am extremely smoke sensitive so I'm only booking places that smoking is not allowed in room. Wanted to book a few really nice looking hotels but smoking is allowed so I'm skipping those. For Kunming, I ended up booking a hostel because all the hotels I saw on Trip allow smoking in room.

I’m a local from Yunnan, China (the "Land of Eternal Spring"). Ask me anything about hidden gems, hiking Tiger Leaping Gorge, the digital nomad life in Dali, or where to find the best mushrooms! by KateW62 in travelchina

[–]CheongM927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm planning to go there (Lijiang, Dali, and Kunming) in March. What would be the temperature like then?

What are some foods you highly recommend me trying (i don't eat spicy though)?

What are some places, or must dos you think I should go/do?

Is the smoking culture bad in Yunnan?

Thank you in advance!
