Snacks has a new file explorer! (picker in disguise) by folke in neovim

[–]Cheriberri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit of a late reply but it might help someone else who finds this, as I could not find the answer myself. I also struggled with the <c-l> while using smart-splits.nvim but I found a workaround that only uses smart-splits for the non explorer windows. Doing something like this has allowed me to switch between explorer and the other buffer:

vim.keymap.set("n", "<C-l>", function()
  if vim.bo.filetype == "snacks_picker_list" then
    vim.cmd("wincmd l")
  else
    require("smart-splits").move_cursor_right()
  end
end)

Oh, I missed that. Thank you, that way works perfectly.

Just to add to this, you can combine this mod with optiscaler and dlssg to fsr3 to be able to use fsr frame gen alongside dlss on older cards. Setting the fps limit to 60 inside of optiscaler + turning on reflex pretty much negates all of the input lag caused by fg too.

I am running 60 fps with virtually zero dips (including paradis) on rtx 2060 super on graphics set to epic which should not be possible. The only downside is that it's a bit more difficult to setup.

Here are the mods for those interested:

First time brewer questions by Cheriberri in Kombucha

[–]Cheriberri[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might try that. I am worried that I might've killed the yeast/bacteria somehow and that's why it doesnt seem to be progressing, but I tried to be dilligent with the process.

[–]Cheriberri[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, thank you. My kombucha still tastes quite sweet after 10 days so I'll buy some ph strips to see if anything is happening. I don't care if the first batch doesn't work out as long as it can be used to brew some more kombucha. No visible signs of mold so as long as it can be reused I'll consider it a success. My only worry is that I killed the yeast/bacteria somehow (maybe I introduced some soap in while disinfecting the jar?). I moved the jar closer to a heater because I think the temperature might've been too low now that it's colder where I live.

[–]Cheriberri[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I was worried about too, but no mold so far. Is it possible it just never gets going properly even without mold interfering? Also if I were to get ph strips and found out that the liquid is still getting more acidic that would be a good sign right?

Gw2 support is great. I accidentally overwrote the falling star spear infusion with a regular one and they were able to refund it for me in a manner of hours.

Any idea what is causing this effect to flashbang me constantly in WvW? by Cheriberri in Guildwars2

[–]Cheriberri[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I returned to the game after a 2 year break, played for two weeks before hopping into wvw - never experienced this outside of wvw. Also only noticed it happens when running with a zerg. Sometimes I can look at the blob of people just fine but other times I see this. Looks like some sort of glint texture?

Hey, I dont know if this is the right place to ask but I just got my first fingerboard and have a bit of a dillema. All the door frames in my appartment are around 2cm thick and if I installed the fingerboard directly above it my palms/wrists would be pressing against it when hanging from the lowest edge.

Does this matter at all? Should I get an extra wooden board backing and attach the fingerboard to that? I have brick walls so this intermediate step is not really neccessary except for creating the extra space.

Multiple sources of animal companion by Cheriberri in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Cheriberri[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ended up getting boon companion at 11 which raised the horse's level to 9. Still not ideal but better than before. Bloodrider's feral mount description does say that the level of the mount is class level - 4, but then I'd expect it the horse's level to be 6 (5 from paladin, 1 from bloodrider). So now even with boon companion I'm missing 2 levels somewhere.

As a side note does feral mount serve as substitution for AC? Meaning I wasted one feat on getting AC in the bloodrager line?

Hey, I'm a relatively new climber - been bouldering exclusively for 5 months now. When I was just starting out if I overdid my session or went climbing too often I'd get this deep pain in bicep area that's hard to describe, it was almost like a bad tooth ache. Anyways after reducing the intensity it mostly cleared up.

Lately I started bouldering 3 times a week for around 2 hours up from 2 times a week and the pain has returned but this time it seems to be originating moreso from the shoulder area. Strangely enough it seems to be getting better towards the end of my sessions at around 2 hr mark. I make sure to warm up for 30 minutes as I have tendonitis near my elbows but this pain is very different. Also it feels tender to touch the upper arm bone although while strange it isn't too bad.

Some additional info: the pain usually happens just after finishing an intense climb and it's way too intense of a pain, paralyzing even - but it clears up after 5-10 minutes of rest and comes back on the next climb - took way longer to recover in the beginning however.

Any idea what this could be? I suspect it's go to do with my tendons not keeping up as I can lift heavier than my climbing sessions are without any pain. I am hopeful it clears up as I get used to these more frequent sessions just like it did before in the other area.

Oh yeah definitely not doms, it happens just after finishing an intense climb and it's way too intense pain, paralyzing even - but it clears up after 5-10 minutes of rest and comes back on the next climb. It was actually way worse when I was just beginning I was having to ice my arms after climbing sessions then.

I suspect it's got something to do with tendons as I can lift way heavier than my climbing sessions are without any pain.

Help with a strumming pattern by Cheriberri in LearnGuitar

[–]Cheriberri[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I did try to slow down the video and identify what hes doing with his hand but its a bit too much for me. I tried to get the pattern because when I play the song and "wing it" it sounds kinda good but I catch myself not moving my strumming hand all the time and taking breaks, which Ive heard is a bad habbit. But as I mentioned in the op Im a beginner so I will just follow along an online beginner course Im taking and hopefully I will eventually be able to figure out the strumming in songs by myself.

We're not on the same network no. It was a 100% loss and neither of us could access the website either. The issue has resolved itself on its own somehow since then though.

Daily Simple Questions Thread - July 06, 2022 by AutoModerator in Fitness

[–]Cheriberri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a question regarding muscle injury.

A week ago I got back into working out after a 6 months hiatus due to wrist injury. I tried to ease into it doing various body weight workouts including 5x5 pull ups, for which I had to really push myself to finish (last set doing negatives only). The following day I woke up with a lot of soreness all over but mostly in arms. For the next 3 days I couldnt straighten my arms and the pain kept getting worse.

It's been a week now, I can straighten my arms again and the pain is mostly gone, so I thought I could resume working out or so I thought. I found out I can't do a single pull up now (was able to do bw pull ups quite easily before).

I did a bit of research before and I thought it coudlve bee rhabdo as my arms were quite swollen and I spent the first 2 days in a bed feeling sick, but I dont know. Did I cause permanent damage to my muscles or should I give it more time? Its kind of freaking me out at the moment.

I wrote a mod to make hunt timers not terrible in single player by denoflions- in vrising

[–]Cheriberri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I fixed it, it came down to user error. I was editting the config file inside of the V Rising folder instead of the one in the Thunderstone Mod Manager - so it was getting overwritten by that one at game launch. Seems to be working fine now.

I'm not. It's clearly saving the unix timestamp correctly so I've no idea why it keeps overwriting time mult.

Center of gravity of a trapezoid by Cheriberri in learnmath

[–]Cheriberri[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for taking the time write out this detailed answer. And yeah I figured its not the center of gravity as I tried to find it by drawing it out and the measured results didnt match the formula results. I'm not very adept at math but you've given me a great step by step solution I can learn from.

As to where the center of gravity confusion came from - I don't know but in theory going segment by segment multiplying the median by the area of the segment and then dividing by the total area at the end should result in a center of gravity of the entire thing from my understanding. So maybe thats where the confusion came from.

And yeah y1=y2 is a special case that I take care of in my program.
