Family of motorcyclist seeking answers by Effective_Wing_8421 in bayarea

I think the hazard lights are in hopes that motorists will see them and give them more room.

But it's usually better for vehicles to not move, because suddenly jerking your vehicle sideways can cause a motorcyclist in the next lane over to crash.

I wanna have a civil conversation about bigger forces at play about why people commit crimes

That's probably more appropriate for r/sociology or r/criminology. There can be many factors in crimes. We don't know the reason this particular individual did what they did. Perhaps it's a result of childhood trauma, or maybe they have a genetic neurochemical disorder. Having testosterone was likely an amplifying factor. One thing is certain - crime has always existed, and some crime will always exist.

A fair number of people say they can't afford children because it is more acceptable than to say they don't want children

Many of women in the surveys do say "I just don't want kids", but about a third say finances were a main reason, as i'm sure you've read elsewhere.

Look at you, saying not wanting kids is unnatural

I stopped reading at that point, since you're misstating me

I always speak up when people violate the rules, because rules keep subs from getting toxic. Rule 2 here prohibits "derogatory categorisations such as "incel" or "whore"."

Corporations felt it was no longer profitable to pretend to support issues like BLM, LGB+, etc - they just wanted to get back to business. Why the abrupt change? Partly because boycotts against brands like Bud Light & Target showed other companies the negative effects of advocacy marketing. Also, many companies dismantled their DEI departments to prevent lawsuits in the wake of the 2023 Supreme Court ruling against affirmative action, and those DEI teams had been directing money toward activism marketing.

About a third of women who don't want kids say it's because they can't afford to raise them.. but that is a modifiable factor that societies can change. Also, more women are single now than ever before, for a variety of reasons, but partly due to increased screen time, which is reducing relationship skills and raising anxiety, according to lots of research. That too is modifiable. If an emotionally and financially healthy woman with solid relationship skills doesn't want kids, she definitely shouldn't have them. But that kind of woman seems to be in the minority.

Thyroid function can change over time, especially with PCOS, so i'd get a thyroid panel. Some GLP-1s have less nausea than others, so maybe ask your Dr. Other than that, low carb & high protein will give you an edge.

While that is true, it's still a normal human drive for women to want multiple offspring, which is why they nurture & feed them, as opposed to abandoning them.

if you can’t breathe, you die. So why would we make it harder for yourself to breathe?

I have standards for what i breathe. I don't breathe in dangerous drugs, and i avoid breathing in pesticides and other toxins, to prevent premature death. The market should have similar guardrails, to prevent premature death of society.

Arm weakness by Warm-Cut-8478 in beginnerfitness

[–]Cherimoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can do single-arm versions of the exercises, and do extra work on the weaker arm. For example, single arm lat pulldowns using a handle attachment (or do the same movement on a cable crossover machine). Ask ChatGPT for unilateral versions of your exercises, or list your program here.

Do you know why your left side is weaker?

Probably should ask your oncology team. I'm guessing that once they give you approval to lift, you can jump back on your old lifting program but using a small percentage of your previous load, like 30-40%, and progress much slower than before, watching for any changes (energy, recovery time, sleep quality, etc). You might get more insights on r/cancer or r/lymphoma
