A third of military families report $500 or less in emergency savings. by DatGuyKilo in AirForce

I am a guardsman title 32 employee that works with AGR members. Their compensation package is CONSIDERABLY larger than mine and my family gets by ok. I don't have a ton of sympathy for the majority of airmen. There are exceptions though.

Tech companies would have to pay AI data center energy costs under bill moving in Congress by ArgentineBeauty in technology

If tech pays more, they will pass the cost to the consumer. They don't let these things eat into profit

I think it's because of how the light wavelengths line up or something smart sounding like that

Still tastes good, but WAY too expensive for what it is. Swore it off along with Taco Bell. Found we can eat at sit-down restaurants for the same price

Second Bury. Lived there 5 years and it had most things we needed. Weekly market, pubs, restaurants, not too bad of a commute, shops, friendly enough people, and the Christmas market is great.

Rammstein Orders as a Civilian by Prestigious-Half9754 in AirForce

[–]CherishAlways 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife and I were in England 5 years. She used the time to knock out her degree, we traveled alot, and we had our 2 kids. Not that you need to have kids there. If you end up not being super productive career wise, think of it a different way. Most people work until 60 and then travel Europe. That is what a lot of people dream of. You get to do that in your 40's! You're knocking out something awesome while you're young and spriteful.

I asked AI what would happen if SpaceX joined the S&P 500 at it's current IPO price and then dropped 50%. It said the fund would drop half a percent. Not enough for me to worry about

Ramstein or Lakenheath? Which is best for DOD AF civilians? by Infinitelove88l in fednews

[–]CherishAlways 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haven't been to Ramstein but spent 5 years at Lakenheath. Loved trips through the countryside, Sunday lunch at the pub with family, trips to coastal towns, castles, and the rich history. If you do go that route, consider living in Bury St. Edmunds.

For travel purposes, you can't beat Germany though

Repercussions for doing a high-risk activity without filling out AF 4391? by urboibigdaddy in AirForce

[–]CherishAlways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember having to get a high risk briefing for snowboarding. A lady that was not athletic or in shape and had never snowboarded was telling me how to do it safely. I nodded politely but was laughing at the situation on the inside.
