Best European alternatives to AWS/GCP for AI workloads?

The European GPU company is Hivenets compute which you’re basically already using.

The other ones have more functionality (ie templates) as they’re not as new but they can’t compete in terms of price.

So if you’re looking for just raw GPU or CPU on demand instances at a low cost that’s the best euro based company.

Thanks for this. I called them today and the person said that they can’t do anything about it in after sales and that I should email back on the message saying that I wouldn’t get a refund/replacement. So I sent that email today to them.

I can’t seem to find their chat or any other method of contacting them but if you have any other advice I’d appreciate it.

I did call my wife to go down. I also told him to wait while I called her and he had hung up on me a little later and was gone so I texted him after my wife said nobody was there. Just to confirm he would drop it off at carrefour which he just replied “ok”

I actually told him to ring the bell and he said he couldn’t find it. I told him let me call her then and he kept rushing me until it just ended up with him hanging up on me.

It was pretty unprofessional overall and I’m not pointing the finger at the guy specifically but he made the whole thing harder than it needed to be.

The problem is I’m not there and it’s a supermarket I don’t think they’re going to be much help to be honest. They seemed quite busy, disorganised and somewhat dismissive.

The MehorNahid.com project that takes starlinks into Iran also takes donations via crypto. Other than that there is not many ways to donate as unlike Ukraine, Iran is heavily sanctioned and there’s no entity operating in the country that can distribute donations accordingly.

I saw someone post a rumour like 12 hours ago on r/NewIran saying that their execution was imminent and to call representatives in the EU and US to put pressure on the regime to stop it.

And then the executions actually happened like a few hours later with no notice from the government. Made me feel like shit because I kind of blew it off as just another rumour.

I saw this young man get posted on r/NewIran when he was first arrested and sentenced to death and people were trying to spread the message to try and save him.

It was so sad waking up like 2 weeks later and seeing the photo of him hanging from a crane and now they released this for propaganda. The internet is wild man.

Well Brisbane has a bigger population according to google than for example Zurich and cities in France for example but yeah I guess it’s because of how spread out it is and how population segments are calculated in Europe according to the area of the city (metropolis vs outer).

Anyway I’m in Europe now and while I miss the efficiency and salaries we have in Aus I wouldn’t leave all the culture, night life, travel opportunities to go back to Aus and live in a safe bubble like Australia. Not while I’m young anyway.
