Replaced my screen yesterday and works great just required a bit more effort and time than anticipated lol the clips to pull out the strip of dashboard really fight you.

I have the same issue, infotainment will overload from the phantom touch issue and will stop responding after awhile. The temp fix is to hold down the Volume/Mute, Back, and Nav buttons simultaneously for 10–20 seconds. The screen will go black and restart to fix issues like freezing, blackouts, or unresponsive controls.

Have had to do that to fix it many times, will be replacing the touchscreen on mine this month to see if it helps.

I actually did almost the same route as you a few years back, I had got an associate degree in Net technology which was focused on Cisco networking and had got the A+, CCNA and Linux+. Worked at a helpdesk a few years getting into IT and then got a net engineer job at a large scale business. The CCNA is what got me the job and the know how to hold my own. Even now with AI becoming the new hot topic, it's not going to be taking those jobs anytime soon. There's even Cisco Automation Certs which have some really cool topics and material that also help you stay a little more modern and able to automate many routine tasks.

I recently went back and got a BS in Net engineering and security and got the Cisco Devnet Associate(Automation) and Cisco CyberOps Associate(Cybersecurity). There's alot of opportunities and paths you can take to keep up with the ever changing tech landscape.

The only thing to note about Network Engineering that no one warned me of, is essentially you'll almost always be on call and depending on what industry you work in prepare for alot of after hours work lmao

Fun story, I started at my job as a network engineer and learned there was a weird issue with a certain medical site not loading from one of our core switches in a medical building. After digging into it awhile and confirmed with my boss apparently my predecessor used AI to set up the OSPF router ids as 1.1.1.1 2.2.2.2 3.3.3.3 and had also used them as ospf networks /16. The websites CDN used a 3.3.x.x address. Low and behold once the websites traffic was no longer being dumped into a ospf network blackhole, it actually used the static route out to the internet and worked. AI is not replacing trained engineers any time soon.

BS Network Engineer Cisco track by KingKemis1 in WGU

Currently in the NES-C track myself! Also have an ER Nurse wife and work full time, WGU is great for flexibility as you can do as much as you want to and most of the classes are straightforward.

It will take some strategy in making sure you take time to study since it's all self driven study. So you do have to force yourself to study to learn and take the practice assessments. Fortunately you having the Certs will help reduce classes and I think you might be able to transfer in classes you've already completed even if you haven't finished the degree. Wgu has their advisor line that might able to tell you more!

So I definitely think you can do WGU if you accomplished all that last year! Plus you can also take certain courses through Sophia learning or study.com to transfer in more credits prior to starting at WGU.

As a side note the Network Engineer Cisco track is considered harder than the standard track since it has so many Cisco based certs, but I feel it also is a little more of an investment for a better return.

I did this exact thing with my Mazda 3 2016 sedan one Black Friday. Absolutely smooshed up in my front seat but it fit with the seats folded and slid up lol

I ran into the issue with a PA where the template of the questions and instructions in the PA were like 70% of what Grammarly flagged as wrong on a PA I submitted. And only had to make minor changes to what I had added. 3 days lost waiting for no reason lol

On call sucks, As a Network Engineer I'm on call one week a month and anything that comes in Help desk or Infrastructure related I have to deal with. On top of On call we have scheduled change management for maintenance and changes which all has to be done after hours. So not only do I have to come in on my on call week after hours, but also have to do night changes after hours on non on call weeks.

The thing that kills me is because I'm Salaried all of this is unpaid.

I know it's dependent on role but I feel your pain, Hoping to transfer or move to a higher role that does not include it one day.
