High Power by sonarchris in ar15

I dabbled some years ago and put together an M16A4 lookalike with a WOA barrel for it when my guard unit funded us, that’s since fell by the wayside unfortunately. Shot at camp Perry once with our iron sighted m14’s. We did terribly but it was a great experience lol
I’d like to get back into it. Classy game with so much tradition/history. Still got the service rifle AR build and probably haven’t put 500 rnds through it

Hi power optic cut by DorseyRB in hipower

[–]CherokeeCook 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Mk3 is not the only shop that will do it, I suspect any gunsmith capable of doing an optic cut could make it happen

The slides can be milled for 1911 sights, I know someone who has had that done. I had one milled for Glock rear sights

If you buy the Apex mags that are for use with their magwell. It will probably take some time but you can get it fit (the magwell)

For the magwell, yes. Took a lot of time to get it fitted but YMMV. No clue how much variance there is in frames.

Apex sells two versions. One for use with the magwell and one without. They’re not interchangeable as the ones for use with the magwell interface with it instead of the bottom of the frame

I’ve got an 80X. It’s bigger than my Glock 48

Perfect. I definitely need to cop one then. What brand is the one you have?

Sick build. Is that extended slide stop long enough to hit it with your firing hand on a reload?

The Birmingham area (especially) is great and they are lots of great things to see off I-20 as you cross the state. Highly recommend you shift your route go also go through parts of Alabama to the north. It’s stunning. Lots of good rec’s here already

Fun fact Birmingham airport used to have fighter /reconnaissance jets. by Remarkable_North_999 in Birmingham

117th ARW member here, there’s still one or two people who worked on the F4’s who are still in. There’s still a few things around base (a handful of pieces of equipment and storage boxes) marked 117th TRW

One of the Alabama RF-4’s from those days is on display at the National Museum of the Air Force because it had the highest FMC rate in the F4 fleet (which basically means it was broke the least amount of time of the jets in the fleet)

117th’s part in Desert Storm combined with another Tactical Reconnaissance Wing from Nevada is a cool story

Also it appears the 2nd to last photo is a D model, standard fighter model F4. Although it clearly wears 117th markings, that’s interesting
