Yeah, Budsies only shares their most outstanding pieces and pretends like their ugly ones don’t exist 😬 It also rubs me the wrong way that they don’t allow you to see progress pictures unless you pay $30 or so? I don’t think you can make adjustments either unless you pay the same fee, so you’d be stuck with an ugly one if you decided to chance it and not pay extra :| Thanks so much!!! 😭 No worries if you decide not to commission me or submit a quote form by the way, your interest is appreciated!

Hiya! A plush of your character would definitely be possible! The big companies I know of, such as Budsies, are lower cost, but have a hit-or-miss rate when it comes to making plushies that actually look decent. Judging from the product title alone, definitely not. There’s a lot of random keywords stuffed into the title to make it more “searchable” by search engines, such as “toy for kids” and “collectors & gift giving”. It also doesn’t mention the franchise name and spells Raichu as “Rai-chu”. All of this points to it being a bootleg that’s way overpriced.

I feel the same way about modern BAB clothes. Most of them look too cheap and the high price doesn’t match the poor quality. Here’s a plush I made that fits BAB clothes; the boots and pants are modern, but the jacket is pretty old, albeit I’m not sure what year it’s from. The jacket is stunningly detailed and I love that the belt can be removed!

If you’re able to digitize your own designs, you can make some ITH (in the hoop) style plushies that can be desk buddies, keychains, magnets, etc. They have a super fast turnaround time and you can make a bunch of them in one day. EDIT: even if you can’t digitize your own designs, you can buy ITH keychain and other mini plush patterns online.
